Helloweeen always has had 2 lead guitar players only, but in 2016/2017 they did a whole ass tour called Pumpins United. with the original members that were alive that did the first 3 albums. Ingo "the Machine" Swichtenberg commited succicide in 1995, 3 years after he got kicked from the band due to schizofrenia. so for this tour they had drummer. Dani Loble the one who has been with the band since 2003.guitarist 1, Sasha gerstner been with them since 2002, Guitarist2, Michael Weikath, Band leader. Guitarist 3 Kai Hansen, been in the band as a singer at first, then guitarist, left in 1989 to form Gamma Ray , and back in for this tour, Bassist Markus Grosskopf been there since the start with Micheal. Then Singer Micheal kiske joined the band in 1986 got kicked in 1993, back in the band since 2016. Singer Andi Deris in the band since 1994. after the tour they made a album as a 7 piece band that was released in 2021and it was called Helloween.
Haruna and Miho were playing this and other metal tunes (like "Painkiller") for fun in a studio session in 2015 before Lovebites---nothing public seems to have come out of that session. According to Asami, the first time she met Haruna, Miho, and Midori she performed this song for them---she said it was the first metal song she sang.
At this point what do we even say about these ladies ?? Yes we run out of words. Can you imagine our excitement level when they officially announce their new bassist and we get new music ?? I am sooo ready for that.
LOL - It's Lovebites, of course it's Amazing. This was a special Live Session they did in December of 2020 that was basically a Live re-release of their 2017 Awakening From Abyss album - with this cover. New Bassist - This Month! This Month! This Month!
This session is amazing in many ways! If I'm excited for the new bassist reveal, and I've only been listening to them a few months, I can only imagine the excitement the lifelong fans have!
🤘 it wouldn't be a cover without having the guitar/bass/drum solo as they were part of the original studio album version. Lovebites nailed this cover to perfection and I do believe this is the best cover of this song. The original is the original and will always be the original and personally I never had an existing complaint with the original so I cant say Lovebites did it better but what they did do is match the original and it's just as good. I like that they choose this song because its essentially what Lovebites do now and it really shows the influence Helloween has in Lovebites and without Helloween we probably wouldn't have had Lovebites along with alot of other things. Helloween is what introduced Haruna to double bass drumming and inspired her to become what she is today
It definitely was amazing. I hadn't heard the original studio recording so I wasn't sure if all the solos were things they only did live. It's awesome that it's on studio too! Thanks!
@@GlassMoonGaming yes thats why this song is a staple in metal because it featured quite alot of things in a studio song and was a hell of a song back in 1988. Also by the way Helloween didnt initially have 3 guitarist. They gained the 3rd when the god himself "Kai Hansen(Red guitar you like)" reunited with Helloween in 2017 after leaving in 1988. Kai Hansen is also the original vocalist as well 1984-1986 before they brought in Kiske
I love that they ended this studio show with a song that allows all five ladies to shine. I also love that even though there's no crowd, Asami still uses the riser.
Miho and Haruna destroyed the beginning and once M&M joined the party everyone was on fire!! 🤘🐺🤘 Fantastic cover!! At this point i always expect perfection from Lovebites and im never disappointed!!
So amazing. The very first time I saw Lovebites, I said to myself: "Why is that drummer so dang CUTE! And why is she playing the drums like Ingo Schwichtenberg ?!?!?" 😳 LoL! 😄
Two fantastic songs Eagle Fly Free and Painkiller and two fantastic covers from Lovebite the talent and passion of these girls is incredible we hope they will come back as soon as possible🤘🏼🎸🥁🎤🐺💖🇯🇵🇮🇹

They killed it with "Painkiller". They killed it with this one. Lovebites exceeds expectations every single time. ( This original Helloween song only had 2 guitars. Kai Hansen and Michael Weikath. )
Lovebites' members are so interesting. Midori is a bodybuilder. Haruna has a miniature food keychain business. Miako has pet snakes and an owl and is a piano virtuoso. Miho rides motorcycles. 🤘❤️

I had never heard the Helloween version. Lovebites got me interested and think both versions are great. So many singers and bands have covered I Want Out by Helloween it was becoming tedious. If any other act covers Eagle Fly Free I will immediately compare it to the Helloween and Lovebites versions. Lovebites is not a cover band because all their songs are great. This jam shows the talents of the 5 members. Glory to Lovebites!!!
I never got very fond of Helloween because I can't stand Kiske's vocals, but Lovebites made me like this song! By the way, the big Helloween fan in Lovebites is Haruna.
@@GlassMoonGaming Omg yes Helloween The Walls Of Jericho/Ride The Sky is a song from an album that changed metal. Helloweens 1st album is the only album with Kai Hansen on vocals before Kiske was brought on. That whole album is a speed metal masterpiece that spawned a whole new genre of metal in 1985. Idk if you know who the wrestler Chris Jericho is but where do you think he got his last name from and why his special move was called "The Walls Of Jericho"
One of the best covers i have heard of this song, but nothing beats the original. Listen to the studio version with original drummer Ingo Schwichtenberg, a young Michel Kiske on vocals and the fantastic guitars from Michael Weikath and Kai Hansen, and the great Markus Großkopf on bass.
That is how you cover Helloween! Now maybe you understand why I disliked the Nemophila cover, you can't do a half-assed cover of Helloween and expect it to sound good. This song and genre is right in Lovebites wheelhouse and of course they killed it. Sometimes only an epic band can cover another epic band and make it sound right. Lovebites made it sound right.
While I agree that this cover was totally epic, I think we have different opinions on what a cover should be. Under no circumstances would I ever agree that Mayu should fill in as a lead singer for Helloween, it doesn't mean that the song they covered was bad just because it didn't sound like the original. Would you also say that Johnny Cash's version of Hurt "wasn't good"? How about Jimmi Hendrix's All Along the Watchtower? Both of those were completely different than the originals (and arguably much better) but that doesn't make them bad covers, it makes them exactly what they are supposed to be: cover songs. Now, that doesn't make either of us right or wrong, it just means we have different opinions. That's all part of what makes music so wonderful: 2 people can hear the exact same song and think completely different things about the same song. With all that said, Lovebites cover was simply AMAZING! Thanks!
They tried. The singer definitely isn´t qualified to sing a Michael Kiske-song. The weird japanese singing style (don´t know what else I could call it) destroys it for me. The girls can actually play their instruments. But even here, no comparison to Helloween. At least it´s an interesting rendition.
@@GlassMoonGaming I don't care. Kiske is my favourite metal singer. And the keeper of the seven seas albums are some of my all time favourites. So I have to be a little harder on the criticism here. ;)
