A great song by the Queens of Metal. One that is an even better version is tbe live song with the Chopin Intro. It also has a better mix of Miyako playing piano at the end.

I you like the piano, you should definitely try out the 2020 version with Chopin intro (Revolutionary Etude). This was played on this show as well, but it wasn't included into the video. Sadly. Additionally, the piano (and the guitars) are not very good in this mix (too low, mushy).

Some background and a link: Chopin (pronounced Show-pan) was a Polish-born Romantic-era (1800’s) classical composer and piano virtuoso who lived most of his life in France. He is considered one of the great classical composers, specializing in highly technical works for piano. "Etude" is French for "study". Chopin's Etudes were written as "studies", or lessons, for his students. They ended up being popular things for professional pianists to play as part of their concerts, in part to show off their skills. This is one of the more famous ones and is considered one of the most difficult ones. Miyako, who composes a lot of Lovebites’ music, is a professional-level concert pianist, and was originally going to make classical music her career. When she was 18, she picked up a guitar, and is now (quite obviously) an elite-level guitarist. She particularly likes the Romantic Era classical composers like Debussy, Dvořák and Chopin, as well as her stated favorite, Russian romantic composer Rachmaninoff. She composed “Swan Song” using elements of the New World Symphony (Dvořák) and Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor), with a passage by Rachmaninoff as the outro. Ok, for Lovebites, my suggestions are: Winds Of Transylvania, which is an Anime opener they did for the series Vlad Love. Glory To The World, which was written by Midori which she wrote to help everyone through the Covid epidemic. Some other Japanese bands for you and with these suggestions you should listen to the first two bands before listening to the third band. The first two you can listen to in any order. They are: Unlucky Morpheus - CADAVER/REVADAC The band plays the first song CADAVER, then they play it backwards note for note REVADAC. And another interesting bit with Unlucky Morpheus, they have a heavy metal violinist who also does Van Halen covers among other guitar greats. Gacharic Spin - MindSet Gacharic Spin is a much more pop-rock band and they have an incredible bass player. DOLL$BOXX - Take My Chance DOLL$BOXX is a colab/crossover with Gacharic Spin and the singer from Unlucky Morpheus. It's an interesting story about how this happened, which I will tell when you listen to DOLL$BOXX. A non-Japanese suggestion: Did you know India has metal bands? Look for Bloodywood and their song Aaj (today) Don't worry, they sing in Hindi AND English.

Great reactions, as always. Asami studied classical ballet for 16 years. She started attending ballet classes at the age of two. After finishing school, Asami lived for a while in the United States, where she studied jazz and hip-hop dance. She started singing R&B and soul music. They don't have a fully acoustic song. I still say this recording is not to par with their previous concert, the guitars sound in the background and the bass and vocals are way too much upfront. Love this song but as others have mentioned this isn't the best version of this great song that's available . Unusually for Lovebites the song engineer must have been having an off day as this is VERY muddy and the guitar and vocal mix is weird - also the song is much better balanced when it is bookended with Miyako's piano solos . It's not that the song is bad in any way - just like you to hear the best version 🤷‍♂

It is a shame people are getting steered to this version, I guess because it is new. Atrocious mix, unfortunately.
