Thanks Wave. Great reaction. Love the breakdown. You really need to pick up this album. It is a masterclass in intrumentation, and Asami's voice is insane! Her grasp of the scales is phenomenal! I've lstened to this album so many times now I've lost track. The underlying symphonic rhythm in this song is gorgeous. So powerful and melodic. And yes, Asami is gorgeous! lol.
This is my favorite track on the album. So wicked fast. I love all parts of the song, the vocals, the guitars, the bass and killer drums. Stellar performance!
My fav song on the album. Maestro Miyako's composition and arrangement prowess on full display here. This track proves what a sad myth it is to label Lovebites just a power metal band. THEY ARE NOT ! As in a lot of other songs, there are power/speed, thrash and prog elements and layers. On the side of prog, listen to how Miyako seamlessly integrates classical music influences into the track to provide the subtle key & time signature changes at the right places which make a super-fast bpm song melodic at the same time.
Yeah, Lovebites play some very challenging music and it is only getting more and more complex with each subsequent release. They truly are incredible musicians.
Great reaction. This is an incredible, very dense song. So much happening at once, it really deserves multiple listens to take it all in. The same can be said about Judgement Day as a whole, really. It's a very impressive record. Haruna's drumming is astonishing throughout, Miyako and Midori are incredible as usual, Fami gets some great moments to shine, but Asami might have impressed me the most. She is so good on the whole album. Lovebites really seem to have returned stronger than ever. As for Miho I would recommend Golden Destination. Not only is it a fantastic song, it also features an extensive bass section where Miho got to shine a bit. It really sounds like a lost Iron Maiden song. Just make sure to check out a live version as the music video tends to get blocked, plus you'd actually get to see Miho going off.

I can't remember off hand which song it was, but during one of the earlier songs there was a hilarious moment. 4 of the 5 ladies had picked up plushies and were having them dance along and headbang to the music. Midori, the only one left out, didn't seem to have one handy so she grabbed a florescent dumbbell and started using that. Given her recent journey into fitness and body building I thought it was fitting. 😂

Miho did have a couple songs where she had moments to shine. Not many and not as many as FAMI has even with just Judgement Day. Miyako and Asami wrote specifically to showcase FAMI and Miho is a very orthodox heavy metal bassist so she didn't mind Miyako and Midori having the entire spotlight instrumentally.
Another great reaction to Lovebites, Wave! I think the word you wanted to use other than "regal" and "dominating" when watching them perform live in that video would be BADASS 🤣 This is what they are when they perform on stage.

Please keep up the good work LOVEBITES. 【The following is from an interview with LOVEBITES for a magazine project】 [Miyako] As for "Soldier Stands Solitarily", I had a demo of it when I was working on the "Glory, Glory, to the World" EP (2021). It had a completely different shape than this one, except for the chorus. The chorus was punchy and had a good melody, so I wasn't satisfied with it as it was. This time, I restructured it and reincarnated it. In Miyako's mind, she thought the BPM was too fast, so Miyako said in her mind to Haruna, "I'm sorry," "If you lower this BPM, it will feel different!" He said. So in Miyako's mind, Miyako said, "Haruna can play at this BPM," and"If you don't play like this, it won't sound cool!" With that in mind, Miyako entered the bass line into the software.
Hi FAB1. This is the "release of the album party" with them in their own homes. The signing event was a few days before when they were together in the same room at Victor Records I assume. 😊

This is one of my two favorite songs from the latest album. The other being Wicked Witch. Soldier Stands Solitarily's harmonized dual guitar intro reminds me so much of Avenged Sevenfold's solo guitar opening to Hail to the King. This song gets me ridiculously amped. Haruna's drums are absolute fire the entire time. By the way, the second best attribute of Asami (next to her amazingly perfect and powerful voice) is her graciousness towards her other band mates. She always steps back during the live performances to allow the other members to shine and loves to wave her arms towards the other members as if directing the attention and applause from the audience. It's really cool to see such selflessness from a lead singer in a band.
It's not possible for the love & respect for these women to keep growing. And yet, it does. Brilliant insight into their characters. I know it will never happen, but it would be so nice to see some candid shots of the mothers, together with their children & husbands.

Strong Dragonforce vibe with one. Much is being said about Haruna's speed and endurance, and rightfully so, but I must mention Asami is at the top of her vocal range for almost all of the chorus. She's at treble f and g A LOT on this album, which suggests good coaching. She will need to make good use of her vocal conditioning, because a 1.5 - to - 2-hour set will tax her voice. When/if they do SSS live in concert, only a ballad or a break should follow it.
Brother, I still think Haruna could out stomp an Ostrich! Wave, have you ever seen anything that Miho wrote and published on her own, as Fami has? I can't think of anything off-hand. And that may be a huge part of the difference in how the band perceived her in the auditions. Fami is for real, a Bass Beast!

@@boyzyu We could all die happy if that happened! Somehow I see the possibility of a lot of different collaborations among the Japanese Female music community. They are in it more for fun, and to please the fans, than us Americans. They all share the same fan base for the most part.

Its personal taste and im okay with it but he in the past was really unfair to Lovebites.

Where I draw the line is when someone like Alan starts disrespecting the band. As a reactor, he has a responsibility to just say something like "this music is not to my taste" and then move on. We can all respect that. However, he makes snide remarks and KEEPS REPEATING THEM in many of the Dicodec and GG reactions/streams. He keeps saying "once you've heard two or three songs from Lovebites, you've pretty much heard them all". He is not just stating his musical taste or preference, he's lietarally sh*tting on the band ! I have zero respect for that guy.
