Hey! This song also has a piano intro, but its missing in this particular video. Miyako (black hair guitar) often changes from guitar and piano in their songs, they even have a song where she plays both the guitar and piano at the same time... the song is Burden of Time (Studio Live). Since i discovered this whole Japan rock/metal scene back in March i've been addicted to both Lovebites and Band Maid, so much talent on both bands, its incredible. Lovebites are straight up a metal band, going from thrash, to power metal, to some heavy rock and some ballads too! I enjoyed watching you experience LOVEBITES for the first time. An ensemble group of musicians, all 40 songs in English featuring encouraging and uplifting lyrics. Almost all songs include solos by each guitarist followed by a guitar-harmony-duet. They openly emulate the historic Metal bands from '70s and '80s while incorporating their own styles along with Tchaikovsky, Chopin, Rachmaninoff & Dvorak, while vocalist Asami is influenced by Alicia Keys and Aretha Franklin! A very unique blend of many musical sources, performed flawlessly from their tireless dedication to their crafts. The power from these physically petite women is unsurpassed, imo. Pianist Miyako being the tallest at 5'2", drummer Haruna being 4'9" and drives like this for entire 100minute shows. Vocalist Asami is 4'10" and bassist Miho and guitarist Midori are under 5' tall. FYI： In this concert "Chopin's etude" was used as an introduction part of "Swan Song". "Swan Song" is a kind of hommage, remake or reuse song from "Chopin's etude". This video has missing 90 sec introduction part. It was Miyako's beautiful piano solo like ending.
Miyako's solo, the first descending part, it's actually a phrase lifted directly from Chopin's Revolutionary Etude that she'd just played... 6:07 in this reaction...
I've been following the Japanese music scene since 2014 when Babymetal played at the Download Festival in the UK. I was especially imparessed by the all female hard rock & metal bands like Mary's Blood, Aldious, Destrose, Bridear, Disqualia, Band Maid, Gacharic Spin, Doll$Boxx etc.and mxed male/female bands like D_Drive, Unlucky Morpheus, Maximum the Hormone and Asterism etc. But when I first saw and heard Lovebites in late December 2017 I was totally blown away, they are on a completely different level. They make it all loo so easys. It is a rare skiil to make something very complex and involved look effortless and all five members of Lovebites have that rare skill. And the do it looking like models on the catwalk and perform a full 90 minute plus gig, playing their instruments, moving around the stage, headbanging and changing the pedals on their effects boards wearing four inch high heels and do not even break sweat. Remarkable ! Miyako (the guitarist/pianist) is thirty years old and has played classical piano since the age of three - for twenty-seven years (!) and the guitar for twelve years. Piano is still probably her strongest instrument, I am waiting to see how she develops on the guitar over the next decade or so when she will have as many years playing the guitar as does the piano now. Don't forget she also plays a mean bass finger style and the drums besides composing and arranging amore than half of Lovebites' songs. You shoul also check out 'Raitei' by Nemophila another all female metal band that has been playing together since late 2019.

Yeah mate they've got that effect on you when you see them for first time. Now you just sow the winners of 2018 year in category for best new metal band. Lovebites are formed 2016 in Tokyo from ex Destrose band members Miho the bassist and composer ( she is the band leader) and Haruna the drummer ( she is the top female drummer in power metal around the world). The other members are Asami the vocalist and songwriter, Midori the lead guitarist and backing vocals with the blonde hair and Miyako the other lead guitarist, pianist and composer. Both guitarists is one of the best female guitarists in the world at the moment. So Lovebites are the best all female power metal band in the world at the moment. Their last album Electric pentagram is nominated for one of the best 20 metal albums for 2020 year. Actually they can play everything. Lovebites are influenced by 80s metal. Welcome to the epic world of the, boldly stating it, best band on planet. They are all multi-instrumentalists with at least two to five instruments each, compose their own songs and write their own lyrics, in English! Miyako (piano/guitar) also plays both ... at the same time, well keyboards and guitar, but still. Check out Epilogue, one of the best ballads ever written and with a lot of piano play. Also, double guitar overhand tapping - Signs of Deliverance Zepp concert. Other songs you could check: Thunder Vengeance, Edge of the World, Holy War or their MV's Destinies Align, Shadowmaker and Rising. In general. any song is from "this is awesome" to "this is epic!" and they started in 2016 and already have three fantastic albums, one 4 song EP and one DVD live concert. I am glad that this year at least brought so many people around the globe to "discover" and be in awe with all these Japanese musicians. I've been into J-Rock since 2017 and haven't stopped since then. There are at least two three dozen all female active bands, plethora of mixed and all male, plus Visual Kei. You can roughly have 100 "first listen" videos just from active Japanese bands. Here are some other all-female bands to check beside Lovebites and Band-Maid: Scandal (more pop-rock/ska/punk./grunge), Nemophila (up and rising supergroup), Aldious, Mary's Blood, Doll$box to start with. Some mixed bands: Asterism, Unlucky Morpheus, Wagakki Band to start with. Missing Chopin etude "The revolutionary". It's important because all the song follows this melodic line. On background you can hear another Chopin etude recorded: "Ocean", easy to recognize for the movement up and down, like the waves in the sea. At the end there is a piano solo by Miyako with again Chopin Ocean more the little piece of simphony "The new World" by Dvorak!
I would recommend you check out Thunder Vengeance, with which they opened this show. A great opening. Also, the final two songs of this concert, Edge of the World, followed by When Destinies Align. Not only does the second song flow very well out of the first, but between the two songs you get a full picture of everything this band is capable of, starting with nice piano intro to Edge.

if you reacted to the full video of this performance right before they kicked into the song she performed a full chopin piece on the piano which is one of the best composers of all time and it was incredible she only has been playing guitar for 12 yrs and she has been playing piano for 27 yrs people widely consider her to be the greatest guitarist to ever come out of japan but people still if she is a better guitarist or a better pianist and some people cant answer that that is how good she is at piano please let me know what you think

Beautiful is a rare word when it come to metal scene. but indeed this girls music is absolutely beautiful in their way. and yeah Lovebites is rising star in metal scene! they already play in several biggest metal event in around the world (name it blood stock, wacken open air, download etc) & won several award from prestigius magazine such us metal hammer. If i have a daughter i'll give her name haruna (the drummer)
My two favorite J-Metal bands...Lovebites and Unlucky Morpheus. If you have not checked out Unlucky Morpheus, you should. Angriefer live is a good place to start, but there are many many great songs by both these bands.

The music by Toshio Masuda and then the opening themes from bands like Asian Kung Fu Generation from Naruto got me back into music. The 1990's murdered music for me. Miho is the bass player, co-founder and leader of the band. She is a huge Iron Maiden and Steve Harris fan. She utilizes many of his techniques along with her own style. Haruna on drums was co-founder and she is a great drummer. She has power, speed, accuracy and makes it all look so easy. I am sure that many have said much about this band and how much Lovebites and band maid are rockin the world. I am here to set the record straight Lovebites and Lovebites alone stand alone in the pentagram of rock. Asami vocals, awesome singer one of the best, Miho the bassist the boss of the band one the best in the world, Haruna drummer buddies with Miho and started this band after Destrose disbanded. Miyako and Midori two top gun shredders of the world and making dudes look like crap, of course before them there was Tipton and Downing and Murray and smith and now the throne belongs to Miyako and Midori
its metal not rock you want to hear more listen to Holy War, Thunder Vengeance, Set the world on fire, rising, raise some hell, edge of the world, glory to the world, epilogue, empty daydream, when destines align, shadpwmaker and eagles fly free. Miyako black hair guitarist is referred to by many people as the greatest guitarist japan has ever had in my opinion Lovebites is the 2nd best japanese metal band behind Nemophila however Lovebites is the most popular among people please react to all my suggestions and please let me know what you think
