Chris Stapleton is singing backup, and co-wrote this song. Luke's brother passed in a car accident. His sister later passed, not much later, her husband. Luke and his wife are raising their children.
"If im dead to you why are you at the wake." You only go to a wake to mourn someone. So what she is saying is if im dead and gone to you, why are you still mourning me? Still going to my wake? Wakes are for telling old stories saying goodbye. Its a hyperbole.
Dude, You MUST watch the “Live Room” version/session of this one! I know that I’m not the only person who thinks that it’s the best version. It’s more “stripped down” ish?🤔kinda. But the reason why myself and many other people tend to recommend the “Live Room” one first instead of both the studio and even other Live versions that are out there cause you can really see the emotions on his face throughout And it’s freaking awesome my dude More please 👍😅like……immediately
Asking for an explanation of something that has to do with Twenty One Pilots is a freaking slippery slope my dude!😅 Cause like seriously tho, that slippery slope is right at the entrance of the “Lore Rabbit Hole man!🤦♀️ But goddamn it’s a an extremely interesting ride that is definitely worth your time imo. So just be prepared my dude cause even tho I’ve loved these guys since freaking Vessel…I can’t be sure that I’ve got a perfect understanding of it all ffs! The Twenty One Pilots Lore is just awesome and is probably more thought out and realized than most Games / Movies / TV shows ffs! And I can’t get enough of it, it’s just great👍😊
i think he quantized the notes of the piano to the rhythm of the beats he added. so it wasnt necessarily his actual playing after it was quantized. its easy to do that in just about all DAWs (digital audio workstations) aka pro tools, fl studio, logic, cake walk, studio one, and many more. not hard to do honestly
It's easy for an exceptional BM song to get lost among the other dozens and dozens of exceptional songs. Nonetheless, this is a wonderful BM song. They play it live every once and a while, wish they played it when I saw them.
Please react to Where is Now?, even if you've already heard it. I love your reactions. Also, quick tip. It's pronounced 'JENT'. The 'D' is silent. It originated from Meshuggah but was coined by Periphery because of the onomatopoeia "jent", the sound the guitar makes in such a muted and groovy fashion. "Je-j-j-je-j-jent-jentjent". Cheers 🌟
this song made me think of joni mitchell's song, 'cherokee louise'. she wrote it about a childhood friend who had an abusive foster father. very similar in theme. i wonder if taylor ever heard that song. i LOVE 'seven.'
Thanks for your reaction & emphasis on miltary! As vet myself (though most of hitch during peacetime), I have utmost respect for those engaged in combat, & can relate to the fear/uncertainty & importance of relying on each other...
She said this song was fictional and she got ideas from tv shows and books. I think this was from SATC written from Carrie’s view when cheating with Big.
Polyphia was/is of course, naturally gaining popularity over time. But as someone who has been a fan of theirs for almost 10 years, now, honestly man go back through their discography- you will not regret it. They have always been an absolute fire band its just that everyone slept on them because "oh but i like the songs with singy words in them". If you havent heard any of the following, i highly recommend (in no particular order): 40oz Look but dont touch Nightmare Euphoria Champagne Goose The Worst Storm Culture Shock Nasty GOAT Death Note OD Bad Drown 87 - this was actually i believe the flagship song of their debut album, so REALLY old for them but seriously have a listen to it... its still amazing so they've obviously been great the whole time, just taken some time for the world to figure it out.
Dude.....im a drummer and you don't know wtf your talking about ....Akane doesn't have anything on her drum heads to play softly....She is one of the best drummers in the world and knows a thing or two about dynamics and playing with touch !!!!!!
Big Wreck released their first album in 1998. They release a 2nd album in 2001 & broke up. The singer/guitar player, the second guitar player & new members released an album in 2012 under the name Big Wreck. They have released 6 albums since 2012 & are currently touring for another/current album.
Big Wreck was originally 4 guys that went to the Berkley School of music. Ian Thornley, the singer & guitar player, is the only member from the original line up that is Canadian, the other 3 are from the USA. I believe Ian Thornley is currently the only original member of the band from 1998. There are currently 4 band members in Big Wreck. Singer/guitar, 2nd guitar, bass, & drums.
I'm from Mexico. I'm glad that you hear this band, because when I've heard for a first time, I was involved into an space-rock atmosphere. I felt how my whole life passed through my mind hearing every song of Distant Dream. Everytime that I hear them, I reset my mind to keep going in this life.
His dad, seen in the end of the video, was working on a French owned Tanker ship, checking to see why a safety valve was leaking spilling chemicals in to Galveston bay. They cracked open the valve and it blew into his dad and a coworker. This is talking about Freeport, TX. I'm guesssing that this was in the late 80s/early 90s. They took his dad to UT Galveston which is right across the street where he eventually recovered. You can still see the scars on dads face.
That slapping bit after the intro section was a bass. Btw it’s Tosin Abasi from animals as leaders who brought the “Thumping” technique to guitar music recently. However it came out of the slap bass school of knowledge. I believe Tosin leaned it from a bass player in a former band or maybe in a band they were touring with, who had originally learned it from Victor Wooten.
Most people in the uk use knives more than guns firstly because it is an American culture to be using guns alot and uk gang members dont like to make too much noise when killing someone or drop any shells to leave less of a trace and not startle standby civilians from hearing gunshots into calling the cops. It also helps them relieve more anger on the guy they are killing rather than just shooting them. Knives are also cheaper and you need a gun license to legally get a gun besides if you kill someone with that gun it will trace back to you so they just use knives that are cheap and easy to get rid of. Also if you get caught illegally carrying a weapon it’s less of a charge and in court you could just make up lies and say you were using the knife to cut tree branches or something if on trial for possession or murder.
In lots of ways too good, too robotic. Playing by numbers! Reminds me of my uni music classes. He seems to just be just going through the motions as though it's just another day at the office. You don't learn this talent, you are born with it.
You're probably the best reactor I've seen here in RU-vid, so underrated! The way you express yourself is very clear and concise, and you're very good at interpreting songs! I love this! ❤
