@@GlassMoonGaming yet, somehow you managed to get through that entire song without mentioning Midori's name! "M&M" was a close as you got. Though I do appreciate Miyako's unique contribution, more pronounced than the studio version, I think this 'features' Midori's technical perfection in melody & sound-effects! Screams! Squeals !! & SHREDtastic melody - MIDORI! 💚 Composed by Asami (lyrics) & Asami/Mao (music). She has come a long way from "Epilogue" which was her first songwriting contribution to LOVEBITES. She also (with Mao) wrote "Paranoia" & "A Frozen Serenade", music & lyrics. The full range of LOVEBITES 'genre-spread', and her lyrics are unsurpassed, imo. ❤ What a band!!!!! 🐺

Don't forget Miyako is a virtuoso composer in addition to guitar and piano. She has become my favorite musician. Amazing they can pull this song off live, but I am one who, when it comes to the actual song, thinks the studio sound is fuller. Live for me doesn't quite capture the feeling for me like the music video does. I call this song controlled chaos, and it's more chaotic in the music video IMO. Lovebites spoils us with live music, but this song along with When Destinies Align and Glory to the World for me are better represented in music videos. Takes nothing away for how awesome these songs are live. The official non-VLADLOVE music video to this is the best, the one with no anime and awesome imagery with 100% of the video on the ladies.

I just love Asami’s voice at the beginning; so sweet and adorable. The short speech by her before “Glory to the world” in this same concert is so emotional; she cries and she makes me cry, too. Again, this band is so unique.

When I first saw the Vladlove video, I asked myself. How are they going to do that live? Then when I first saw this live version, it was all made clear. The way Midori strangles those screams out of her guitar is just stunning. The other thing I really love are those sweet, softly spoken words at the start, compared to the powerhouse voice that we all know that she has, as witnessed by that last note.

This live version is what sold me on this song and after this live version came out is when this moved into a top spot for me with Lovebites. Really took the live version to really understand everything thats going on in this masterpiece. Also love when Miyako brings out that beautiful Signature Series Flying V. Really loved the Beethoven touches throughout the song as well 🤘

I once uploaded the video for WoT to my channel - the version without Vlad Love - but Victor/JVC took it down. Speaking of Miyako's wah, she uses the John Petrucci signature wah from Dunlop. I love Midori's ESP Arrow, especially that red and white color scheme with the gold hardware. I love my Arrow!

I thought this would be the track they’d struggle with live. Struggle? Asami takes her “Lovebites” ending stratospheric, the playing is superb, and particularly Miyako who adds lots of detail in her playing.

I love the lead part that Miyako plays at the very end. It really adds a lot to the song, and it was somewhat buried in the mix on the studio version.

In this day's live, this song was played eighth. Prior to that, the heavy and hard songs of their repertoire such as When Destinies Align, The Crusade, Set The World On Fire and Shadowmaker were performed. Perhaps at the time of playing this Winds Of Transylvania, I think that their fatigue and excitement in the first half of the live had reached the highest level. There is absolutely nothing you can say that hasn't already been said. Running out of superlatives for these goddesses. But here goes. In my personal opinion, there is not a band apart from maybe Nightwish that can even come close to these incredible ladies. And co.ing from a devout Nightwish fan, that's saying something.

This is one of those song that easier to listen from Lovebites when Asami vocal is more melodic and less mumble, the vocal style is my only nitpick part about them
