Lovecraft Country S1 Ep.7-8 REVIEW 

I ha the exact same response to the scene between Hippolyta and Josephine. That quote sticks with me, “It’s like they found a new way to lynch me without me noticing the noose.”

This show deserves all the AWARDS! It will literally have you sit on the couch after you watch an episode and just be thinking over your life and letting things soak in.

I cried every time I watched episode 7. It was so touching. It was like the show was speaking directly to me.

Love craft got better and better that opening scene was literally the journey they took us on and I loved every single moment of it

Girl this episode with Dee and the cops gave George Floyd. She couldn't breathe

I think the reason she needs to be immortal is the same reason for vampires it’s the eternal life because I believe she still ages she might cannot be killed but time will still fuck her up

I think Hippolyta going back was an example of women with children having to sacrifice their career for their children. I totally overstand this. I have a son and his father isn't around and I'm still sacrificing my career. I graduated from college with diplomas in welding and collision repair.

Her name is beyond cyst lol & tic got sucked in the portal as well he went to the future that’s how he saw he knew leti was pregnant... ep7&8 are my favorite episodes I cried too when hip said that because it’s so true and I love when beyond cyst told her to name herself I think this episode was a eye opener to the black woman who always put everyone and everything before them make ourself small so we can make our children and husbands bigger where Chile it was deep Aujunue Ellis is like taking a master class on acting omgoshhh she is amazing and deserves her flowers now !!the scene with Ruby and Chrilliam was amazing and profound & the music I put a spell on you was so deep... & also tic asked Christina to give him immortality the mark of Cain I find it funny that he didn’t ask to give the mark of Cain to leti when he knows that she’s pregnant with his son but leti ask tic to give the mark to tic but Christina instead gives it to her I thought that goes to show how much leti gives to tic & black women give to their spouse.. also this episode showed that dee was in need of care and no one gave it to her she needed help and she got her salvation all on her own I think the poem playing while she walked out of the police station was amazing !!! “I am here today to acknowledge & represent the African American girls whose stories don’t make the front page of every national news paper!” My god and dee just taking charge and control of her fate was amazing & sad at the same time (black women the most unprotected people in America) also the police scene was homage to Fred Hampton as well how the fbi and police killed him
