@@Woodswalker96 If I already have someones attention, I use to talk about a few other things. But watch out, it's going to be a long comment. The dragons in this series were super creative, but I still had to overwork the design of some. The only dragons I disliked were the Bubblehorns and the Spiderwings. But I found a solution for both of them. 1. I classified the Spiderwing not as a dragon, but as a dragon-like vermin like the Grimora. 2. There were two Unicorn-Dragons. The Rellentless Rainbowhorn and the Bubblehorn and both had their flaws. The Rainbowhorn was ok looking but shooting Rainbows was a little lame. The Bubblehorn had some cool attacks, but looks ridiculous with its big eyes and teeth, and it's a little too small. So I took both Unicorn-Dragon species and molded them into one. The result is a Unicorn-Dragon with the size and the looks of the Relentless Rainbowhorn, but the name, abilities and personality of the Bubblehorn (So now the Bubblehorn is a rideable species). 3. I like the Snowtails design, but I enlarged it to the size where a full grown man can ride it. 4.The Evolved Scuttleclaw has become a species of its own renamed Scuttle Screecher and was also enlarged to the size of the movie Scuttleclaws. 5.The Woodchippers needed some modifications: I enlarged them to the size of rideable dragons, gave all individuals wings, not just the queen and gave them a fire-attack (classic fireballs). 6. Finally the Glass Caster: He is good without wings and with the ears, but i replaced the furr on his back with leathery armour plates. What do you think of my dragon modifications. If you like them let me know.
@@Woodswalker96 I was thinking about that Tom is not like Hiccup. And I must say, I disagree in certain points. Here is why, but watch out, it's going to be a long comment: 1. Tom is not a thinker: Well it's not like Hiccup never acted reckless and impulsive. He did on several occasions and there were several times where he acted without thinking everything trough. 2.Tom is not an inventor: well, he did constructed his lightning saber and build a second gronckle iron gate. Even if Tom is not as smart as Alex or other group members, I find it unfair to say that Tom is dumb, because I think he is not. 3.Tom is not a strategist: Well, some of his plans, like the plan with the ballista or how to help the Octofin, were pretty Hiccup-ish in my opinion. And besides, it's not like Hiccup's plans never backfired or went wrong. May I remember the time where he led the other riders into the trap in Grimmels tower, when he got busted by scardian and his pack when to free Fishlegs in Edge of Disaster, or most notably when he lost the dragon eye to Viggo and got caught on his dragon auction. Without Grump, they wouldn't have been able to escape. Conclusion: Even if said that Tom is closer to Astrid then Hiccup, all of Hiccups qualities and flaws are there to some extent and I still believe Hiccup is the closest one to him. The description of Hiccup in the book as a master strategist might be true, but it still seems a little glossed over to me. I'm sure, if the riders of Dragon Club could see the movies and the original series (especially Race to the Edge), they would spot the similarities between Hiccup and Tom better.
