Actually incredible, instead of just keeping a standard, plastic lovejoy sound and applying it to all of the YCGMA songs, you managed to keep the actual integrity and essence of the original album and still keeping the feeling of lovejoy into the songs without ruining the original feeling of YCGMA. Great work man.

this is beyond impressive, not just as a reimagining but as an album in itself. it’s beautifully recorded and mixed. syncing will’s vocals was something i was hoping for and was delighted to get but GOD THAT MUSTVE BEEN HELL TO DO😭 i’m in the stages of recording some of my very first songs and it’s so hard, so to see something as impressive as this, with one of my favourite works of music ever, is such an inspiration and so awe inspiring!

This is fucking incredible, I hope they see this not only because of how cool this is but the possibility of YCGMA being an actual Lovejoy album

This isn’t anything like lovejoy but that isn’t a bad thing, like lovejoy kinda feels like knights in the dark ages, they have class to them but can be barbaric at times, the guitars sound somewhat and heavy, but fast and smooth like arrows piercing the wind, the bass sounds like the heaviness of a broadsword and the drums are like the bloodlust felt in battle, this though, it’s so fast and sharp, it’s like samurais. The guitars are sharpened to the point even lightly touching it can cause you to get cut, they’re fast and have the precision needed for a quick, clean slice while the drums and bass are like the kanabō, blunt, heavy, and straight to the point yet still having that elegant violent precision that everything else has, and the tone is like a cyberpunkish vibe, futuristic samurai/ninja vigilantes watching over their cities,hiding in the darkness that fills the alleyways, the melancholy filling the air knowing they’ve saved hundreds of lives, but they had to give up their own so that the city can feel safe, YCGMA has a special place in my heart already, being the only comfort album I’ve ever had which was very recent, but this I hold even more dear to my heart. Your work is pretty much a masterpiece painted in the image of whatever perfection truly is

Saline Solution Sounds Awesome... They Need To Release Something Like This...

YCGMA, Maybe I Was Boring, and the scrapped songs such as Goodnight and Screensaver all have such a special place in my heart. And I love how you remastered almost all of them. Jubilee Line is my comfort song, I love it to bits. Saline Solution, in my interpretation is about a guy with a drug addiction, who wants to stop but eventually gives in. Recently (well actually my whole life, although it’s only recently that it’s started to get bad) I’ve been seeing things and hearing slight whispers from out of nowhere, I’m not going to self diagnose myself but it makes me relate to this song so much more, to me it’s about someone giving up and giving in to the voices. Since I Saw Vienna reminds me of one of my best friends whom I met on Discord, they have a very bad family and have DID, on of their alters called me Papa and it turned from a joke to something that felt very personal to me and I hold it dear. I gave that friend my address at a time when they were scared, and I offered them somewhere in case all went wrong. My parents found out, and assumed they were a s*x trafficker and went to every length to get rid of Discord (even going as far as blocking it from the damn router). Since I saw Vienna reminds me of them, and whenever I think of them instead of thinking of anger about my parents, I let the memory burn out like a fire with happiness and satisfaction instead of hate and anger. Losing Face is a song about someone losing all hope, which is something I’ve almost done multiple times and Your Sister Was Right, is about someone’s mean words getting to them, however in my case instead of a sister, it’s a bunch of people such as bullies or my family at some points. La Jolla to me is like The American Dream, it’s like having a dream that can help you feel inspired, for me it was Canada. My friends on Discord all didnt have a great life, and after becoming super close friends (we all know eachother extremely well and I’m devastated I can no longer talk to them) we all joked about one day moving to Canada and leaving our horrible slightly ab*sive lives behind. I’m Sorry Boris is my 2nd favorite song in the EP, not a lot of people like it, but I do and I’m proud of that. If I ever were to s*icide, I’d send my close friends and people I love this song. As it fits well. I don’t relate to all the songs in Maybe I Was Boring as much as YCGMA, but I absolutely love them. Maybe I Was Boring is super good, but For Memories is on the weaker side for me sadly. White Wine in a Wetherspoons is my favorite in the EP and the original It’s All Futile It’s All Pointless is a great song. Screensaver is indeed a good (yet controversial song) that I don’t relate to much. I’d say it’s the song I least relate to. Goodnight however, is my 3rd favorite of all the songs in YCGMA including the scrapped ones, it reminds me of said discord friends from earlier. Whom by the way if you guys ever end up reading this comment, I hope your alright :) Sorry for the long and emotional tangent. I just have to thank you for giving me another excuse to listen to these wonderful songs I hold so dear to my heart! ❤️ I wish you well and success in life Mindexon, you have great talent!

these instrumentals are so well crafted, you captured the lovejoyification of songs so well its a shame the vocals arent more clear but what you had to work with you did incredibly incorporating them especially with adding the filter at certain points to make it more stylistic, its all done very well and i hope the boys see this at some point bc youve captured their sound really well

this is really impressive. have you considered mixing original vocals on these tracks? they won’t sound like wilbur anymore but i think it will give you more room to do some lovejoy-esque vocal production and make this project a really strong covers album

holy actual MUFFINS, dude. I just started listening to this fantastic album a couple weeks ago but I love it, and this just makes it sound amazing! great job :>

It's really well done, good job!! However, I do have some feedback. The lead guitar on Since I Saw Vienna is kinda out of tune during the intro, so just double check your tuning after putting a capo on (if that is how you recorded it). Some things a bit odd about the highest note in the main lick for "La Jolla", but everything else is good. The lyrics are pretty well ripped from the original tracks (although that doesn't mean there aren't weird moments with them), but overall good job. The mixing is pretty good. The ideas behind the way you changed the original tunes are great. The math rock vibe on "La Jolla" is great. I think "Maybe I was Boring" is just a bit upbeat and silly during the added stops. The mood on Since I Saw Vienna is good. Seriously, good job!

Lovejoy should seriously consider remaking some of Wilbur's old songs like can you imagine Your new boyfriend as a lovejoy song that would be just amazing.

HOLY CRAP!! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! I absolutely love how you’ve made each of the songs have their own special abbreviations to compare with Lovejoy’s musical style. Honestly if I didn’t read the ‘fan album’ in the title I would’ve thought this was official /srs. Also I just gotta say, Since I Saw Vienna and La Jolla have got to be my favourite couple songs in this because it just gives the midwest emo music vibe, the use of the bass guitar and drums is astonishing.
