This song is amazing, but I can't get over the lyrics. All the other songs about relationships are like "You left me 😭 How could you?!!" But Lovejoy really just goes to show about how its like to be the bad guy in these songs. Especially this one. The way the lyrics describe beating a crippled just because they're looks are so fucking fascinating to me. Love it.

Eh, now that WU&IO is finally out I can kinda see why it was scrapped. I mean it's a very cool song, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't exactly fit the vibe Will was going for in any album. It's more aggressive than Pebble Brain songs, kinda like WU&IO but not really enough. It's a bit simplistic, kinda like some of AYA songs but the tone doesn't really fit and by that point the band already moved on from that style. I can kinda see how it could've been adjusted to fit more into WU&IO but it might've been more trouble than it's worth by that point. This seems a bit like an intermediary point between PB and WU&IO, but it fits neither. Will just moved on, and it's okay.
