BDN I used to skate vert back in the day in Holland. One of the guys who build the ramp was number one in Holland and Deathbox gave him a pro model. His name is Mark van de Eng. Early 90’s I started travelling the globe and never went back to that ramp cause they built a insane park near where I used to live. Now I got two knackered knees but still dip my toe in once in a while.

The 1st kickflip I ever did while hauling balls on flat it was like switch in my feet and brain flipped on. Then getting good runs while pushing as hard as I could. It just came together. For me...speed equaled higher, smoother, solid tricks. I could finally catch tricks and drive them. That week was the most memorable time of nearly 20 yrs of skating.

This is what I like about skateboarding. Narrowly escaping doom. Speed and gaps that almost look unreal. I always wanted to skate like that and I guess I got my little slice since I dare go no further than I have.
