He meant cold, not chilli like a 🌶️. He's talking about chilly. The definition of the word " chilly" : uncomfortably or unpleasantly cold. An example: "a chilly February evening"
Your teacher is so nice that she let you speak more but in some instances in which she could've helped you better (I think she wasn't listening well). remember when you called her attention to how to say "from September to 26 May". She just said 26th but I think you mean which preposition to use. Your teacher should've said From September to the 26th of May. Teacher Christy should pay more attention to that details next time.
