It is mainstream but very popular in generation 3, why ? Because internet break tv limitation as music promotion and international fan get access of them and seem put interest much in sexy badass. Mamamoo and momoland are girlcrush too for example, and so many more, twice seem change into concept too.

Apink were the pioneers of the Cute concept, as SNSD was pretty much mixed, as Red Velvet is now. But nowadays, in the third and fourth gen, the mainstream concept is the Cute one. Times change you know. April, Cherry Bullet, Cosmic Girls, fromis_9, gugudan, Lovelyz, MOMOLAND, PRISTIN, Twice, Weki Meki... all cute. Have you heard Twice’s Fancy??? Dressing in black doesn’t automatically make them Gril Crush. As I said before, the only active ones that truly fit this type are BLACKPINK, (G)I-DLE and Everglow. CLC wasn’t originally a GC group but they are sticking with this concept lately so you can count them too. And Apink’s last two comebacks fit as well, as they have changed, although their b-sides still resemble their previous style. But I wouldn’t put Mamamoo in this category, they have a different vibe. Anyway the Cute Girl Groups are clearly the most frequent nowadays.
