This is indeed my favourite movie, and I really mean it. No sex, no violence, no swearing, no abuse; just pure love lost and heart wrenchingly regained. True beauty from start to finish. Nothing else comes even remotely near.
This film has always been my favourite love story. I can't believe that it has never been re-made and I think that Colin Firth or Ralph Fiennes would be ideal for the lead alongside either Nicole Kidman or Anne Hathaway.
@@zmac8689 I agree with you 100%, but as this wonderful movie very rarely makes it to the TV screens, let alone any cinemas, a tastefully made remake would allow they younger movie lovers of today see what a great classic this one was.
It's a great love story and the actors were perfect together I wouldn't watch a remake , they made a remake of wuthering heights but I personally think the original one is the best that's another weepie .
