I've been watching your lovevery reviews for about 9 months now and they are truly the best! Thanks for all the research you do and tips you give and somehow manage to put everything in engaging short videos. I have a lovevery subscription for my 20 month old girl and just received the last 1 year old kit. I was going to stop my subscription and switch to montikids but after your reviews I will continue to get the 2 year old kits and maybe get one of the kits from monti kids to try it out. Really looking forward to your monti kids review!

Awe thank you so much!! I actually got a couple of the montikids ones for my toddler already too! I'll be giving her the first in about a month so I'm hoping to do the reviews for the earlier levels and the older levels at the same time!

Yeah I have seen my former daycare kids trying to do it upside down too hahahaha. These were designed so that they could be used in open ended play just like your daughter is doing! so don’t worry about what age it was introduced etc. Every answer is the right answer unless it hurts herself or someone else ;)

Is there a good book to get online that would be a good equivalent for the guidebooks? I think that is what I would like the most in a Lovevery kit. I like some dupes better than the Lovevery, but I like that idea of learning multiple ways to use something and how to enhance their learning.

I would just google activities honestly - blog posts will be way more comprehensive than the guidebooks for alternative ways to use an item IMO - like "toddler science lab activities" or something

Is true about the books!!! The one with Zoe and the water during bath time omg 🤦🏻‍♀️. My toddler was always fine with water but after that book! It was hell LOL. She was making a big deal about water and it lasted for like 4 months 😵‍💫.

@@theconfusedmom it was supposed to show a kid was resilient against that. But I guess for some it gave the opposite message

@@hannahscott6604 Totally get that and I think there IS a place for it! I go into it in my tips for things to avoid in books post, but based on my personal and professional experience, I think that at this age books should focus on MODELING not "moral of the story." Books like that do have a place AFTER a problem has come up to help kids, but it can be helpful to avoid such books until the problem arises in case our kids decide to model the idea that "water in the face" is an issue instead... it just can backfire if we don't do it mindfully.
