I have Monti Kids up to level 6 and Lovevery up to 25 months, a few friends of mine do too. We all noticed that for young kids (< 1 year old), babies are more inclining to play with Monti Kids, it's better made, and the size fits babies more. But as kids grow older, Monti Kids get boring, they simply can't satisfy toddler's exploration, I'm not saying Monti Kids are not good, but at toddler age, we feel our kids need supplement toys to Monti Kids such as toy cars, musical instrument and blocks. We (my friends and I) all stopped subscribing to Monti Kids before kids turned to 2

That's interesting. I know that many of the toys they have are similar to what I see in Montessori classrooms. I could see the toddler being more curious and looking for more. For my daughter I haven't found she prefers Monti Kids or Lovevery but I only have one box to compare to. Thanks for sharing it's very insightful to know.

I personally prefer Lovevery. I live in Asia and have to self import both options, so I found some individual toys on the after market. And my toddler vastly prefer the Lovevery toys. They are just, how do I put it, APPEALING. Monti kids is SUPER high quality (maybe even more than Lovevery) and do adhere more strictly to Montessori. They are less colorful, for a good reason. A good educational material should isolate the lesson it’s trying to teach. But then it just feels too much like “work”, which is why I don’t think my toddler likes them. She likes the Montikids bead stringing set a lot (it’s also rainbow colored which helps!) But the writing set is pretty much a complete flop. Not colorful. Doesn’t look fun. No interest at all. They are in a no man’s land between a toy and a Montessori material. And since I plan to send her to Montessori kindergarten, I rather find there is no point to replicating that at home and even if I wanted to, I could just get the actual materials. So I went with the Lovevery subscription using a parcel forwarder.

I guess it’s an easy comparison now since montikids doesn’t sell anything anymore 😭 went to get something else but love both them for different reasons.

@@kevin-lu I’m still using my newborn set a few years and a few babies it’s still like new!
