When the state bought our home years ago the one thing that i hated about it was I lost the work my dad done on my home. Now nothing is left of it. So sad. Jared, you can use a stop block to make sure that each wall stud is exactly the same size, without having to measure each one individually.

That looks so good. It’s amazing that when the walls go up, it looks really big. Looking at just the slab, it appeared small but the walls are making a big difference in actually how big it is going to be. Y’all do an awesome job! ❤️❤️🎄🎄🎄

I'm not exactly sure why but I think of your build & property as a gift of love. The louse that LOVE BUILT. Your folks shared their original property & split it up so you would end up having something of your own to build on. Then your Dad has faithfully been by your side rain or shine, hot or cold, thru good & bad times whatever work was required to make it happen. Now I do feel they may be thinking a return may be extended to them in whatever may be needed in their senior years with you so close to their's. Truly a build of LOVE. That's what love is, no need to ask for help it's just given without stipulation or requirements just out of love on both sides.

Cherish this time with your Dad helping you. You two make a great team.

Quiet Christmas for me and many. Much nicer than uproar. ❤

One thing you could do is take a planer or belt sander and plane the window sill down at an angle so that water will naturally wick to the exterior. Also if ya have any windows framing left you can cut the studs 5 degrees so the sill plate will drain to the exterior. With the wind and horizontal rain you get i thought it might save you some water damage

Ive never seen a wall put up like that. We built the wall section, then put it on the seal plate. Different strokes for different folks. Carry on.

The grass has really grown in around the foundation I'm amazed. You two work together well looks so good each day make re gets done excited for you

Boy, this is looking great! It is so nice and green too. We have gotten alot of rain here in Phoenix. I live in an apartment and have a porch area. I have a few large pots. I have a large pepper plant. With all the rain, it is over 3 ft. Tall and has over 20 babies growing. Glad you had a nice low keyed Christmas and got some rest. Looking forward to the next one. Forgot to say love your green house

Yes.. and the Chiefs game was awful too! Glad you n pop are starting the build hopefully before bad weather sets in.. Jan n Feb will soon come with winter to Texas. Been very nice up thru Holidays. Now the pad is beginning to look like a house coming to it. I can see the plans now. Thanks for sharing. This looks great, exciting too. Jared, I’m so excited for you n pop! George, you could perform a wonderful Santa.. my late husband had a white beard similar and did play Santa for friends n schools. He so enjoyed doing that.
