I genuinely love how utterly ballsy Americans can be. This guy builds his own helicopter, takes off and test flies in Crocs (with a leg/knee in some kind of brace it appears), then lands under power lines on the pavement, naturally, because it's flat and close to the road, slows the blades with his bare hands and then uses a monowheel scooter to take his creation home over a major road intersection. I am speechless, and in utter admiration.
With only a helmet for protection, in a tee shirt and shorts! Must have been what it felt like to be a Wright brother in the pioneering days of flight lol!
Great thing is you can do all those things in the US. 👍 In most European countries you need some kind of licence / permit to fly microlights, powered paragliders, hang gliders even regular paragliders. There's a lot of bureaucracy with it.
@@jirislavicek9954 back 25y ago i paid the same money for a vfr pilot license as it would have cost me to get a drivers license in Germany. The requirements are surprisingly similar ( hours, night driving and long distance) We have space.
To build something that flies with your own two hands and have it operate with no problems has got to be one of the most incredible sensations a human being can experience. Engineering is fascinating
this is why i love america, because something like this is still possible here in europe theres a thousand regulations to keep you safe and domesticated
@@MelindaColdenhell even my rc airplane with a fpv camera is almost clasified ad military tec. But now i get why some call it the land of the free but sadly that is changing too
America before the Civil War was truly free sure no income tax adequate slave laws slave rights it was amazing Days now anyone with job pays 50% thru taxes or more so we're all slaves and if you end up in jail or homless another form of slavery then there the cia blacksites end up there and you wish you were a slave
My brother built one of these from a kit he ordered from Canada. He had never flown anything, never studied how to fly and had zero experience with piloting aircraft. He just decided he wanted to build one and fly it. I was certain he would kill himself and I was there the first time he took it up despite not even understanding how to fly it. His approach was " I hear its easy and I'll figure it out as I go" and he did exactly that! By the end of the day we were both flying the thing and it is indeed extremely simply to fly. Its so fun!
This is one of the coolest moments to ever happen. The longer you watch the better it gets. First you might notice the crocs or the duct tap knee brace holding the camera (I think?) or the use of a dumbed to help balance the weight. This should be a commercial for America.
Coming from the UK, we don't see things like this, I was seriously impressed, then it ended with a guy casually pushing his helicopter down the highway on a one wheel, my mind was blown. You guys really are next level....
We are quickly following in your footsteps thanks to the Global cabal that has infiltrated our government and is now destroying the country every way possible, but one of the quickest and biggest reasons would be the border invasions that they could care less about but are so concerned about Ukraines border. How about Ukraine can kiss my rear end and take a number. We come first.
I couldn't imagine sitting at an intersection, not quite awake, and seeing this assembly rolling down the road like just another guyonaunicyclepushingacopter!
I have been working in, on, and around Helicopters my whole entire adult life (non military). You sir are out of your god damned mind flying that weed whacker around. That being said, great video and stay safe out there. Your method of transport is pretty effin hardcore too btw.
I feel like this is an equivalent situation to winning $1M at the casino. If you're lucky enough to pull it off once, you should walk away and never try it again.
@@lonewolftrucker3955 If they don't make a difference on a motorcycle either then why should you wear them? Your argument makes no sense... "It's pointless to wear boots but you should wear them anyways" what?
@@lonewolftrucker3955 one of the most common motorcycle related bone breaks is feet/ankles from low speed crashes where the bike falls on the rider or the rider is sideswiped by another vehicle. So actually motor cycle boots make a big difference in safety margins. If a rider crashes at high speed, yeah it’s a different story, but still a proper boot still can help a lot to minimize or completely prevent road rash on ones feet and lower legs.
The camera angles of GO Pros today etc is just unreal you truly feel like you’re there. Amazing stuff. Credit to all his hard work and the balls to live out his dreams.
@David Palvadore Yeah but accidents are not interesting in a good way, unless you're a sick fuck who gets off to watching people dead or dying. Joe made a light-hearted funny comment and people gotta ruin it.
The only thing which is Giving me Anxiety is to see No Protection between Rotor blades and The pilots head ... Rest is all Mind blowing-ly awe inspiring.
That sounds like an exhilarating experience! Flying low and fast in a Mosquito Air Helicopter must offer such a unique perspective, bringing a whole new level of excitement and adventure. It's incredible how helicopters can maneuver in ways that other aircraft can't, giving pilots and passengers a truly dynamic experience. The Mosquito Air Helicopter, with its compact design, seems perfect for such thrilling flights! Stay safe and enjoy the skies! ✈🚁💨
Takes off and lands under power lines....then rolls it through a intersection like honestly I have full respect for your lack of give a fuck and for that you get a like from me dude. Shits sick looks hella fun. Keep swangin
@@williamschwan207 He bought it and did some tuning, it's not built by him. He bought it used, not the kit. That's not to take anything away from this, just info.
4:38 the panic when he relizes he is getting rotor wash and moving directly toward power pole. freaks out trys to turn but too low so lands XD plays it cool like nothing happened but this guy is an idiot
Really mesmerizing to watch! I gotta say though that having those blades spinning over my head would make me uneasy...I was curious how high it could go if you wanted to? also wondered why you towed it home? why not fly there instead?
I’m blown away by the amount of input strength it appears to take and how much feedback the rotor puts back to the stick. PS-love the transport technique 😆
If you ever feel down just know this guy is somewhere in the world living his best life flying around pieces of metal tubing, a chair and a ceiling fan attached to a motor… 😂
I see people are saying this is reckless but in my opinion this is how people 1st started creating inventions for the future. With a crazy idea and balls of steel!
There is so much to like in this video! Take-off and landing under power lines, full leg / knee brace with duct tape on one leg and shrapnel wounds on the other leg, crocs, all combined in one of the most interesting ways to die I have seen this week. Pushing it down the street on your Tesla wheel was just the cherry on this crazy cake. Well done sir!!
@@houstonhelicoptertours1006 if anything helicopters are safer cause you can do an autorotation wherever is needed. Meanwhile In a plane your not always going to have a perfect big flat field to land in.
@@catzel1ps452 Those blades look fairly damn small. I wonder how much mass they have and how much energy they can actually retain without the engine. Without enough energy retention in the spinning blades there is no auto-rotation. Also, while I agree on the point of auto-rotation being an option present for fixed wing over rotary wing aircraft the fact is there are far more parts moving at high speed and under stress on a rotary wing than a fixed wing. The equates to far more things to go wrong so it kind of balances it out. It also only works if you are on the safe side of the dead man's curve.

I taught myself how to fly hang gliders in '72, same with ultralights in the '80's, then planes since then, all experimental/kit planes, lots of mountain off airport,, and on skis. THIS blew my mind! Mitch has it mastered, it might not be most pilot's cup of tea, but he has the skills. And a electric unicycle.
Another fantastic video! I love your paragliding vids, but that mosquito just takes the cake!! And I'd love to see the look on those people's faces in their vehicles as you're rolling that thing through the intersection! 🤣
T-shirt, crocs, shorts, paintball helmet, ONE knee pad, taking off from underneath a power line and landing back under same power line, IN A BABY HELICOPTER!!!! You sir have officially won the internet for the year. You are my hero. And because of all that you have a new subscriber.
Very cool. Takes a lot of work, and hours of flight time, to get that proficient. And nice method for getting your aircraft to and from your airfield, very impressed.
The superb and beautiful CH-7 Angel Helicopter designed by the brilliant Argentinian designer Augusto Cicarie, and sold in kit form by the Balbero brothers of Eli Sport Helicopters of Italy was a very accomplished amateur built helicopter. A slightly larger CH-7 Kompress helicopter was flown from France to the USA by its owner/builder, with some over water legs of the flight being in excess of 12 hours continuous hand flying! This type is very successful due to the excellence of the type and its excellent history. The only fatal crash that I know of involved a flight in mountains towards the setting sun, which unfortunately obscured an elevated wire strung directly in the flightpath of the helicopter...
Mitch...that is scary as all hell to me but I know you don't acquire chopper flying skills without being able to poop bird seed. So you know what you are doing. It's great that you can share this with us. Gotta love this new social media. All I have of my dad doing this sort of sport flying in the 50s 60s and 70s is maybe an hour of hours of old 8mm black and white.
I can't even imagine how mind fd the drivers at the intersection were. I bet the police phone call went like, "Yea I like to report some man flying his erector set helicopter out in the open field, and then when he was done he drove it through the intersection with one of those electric skateboards that all the kids have these days. He had something on his knee, crocs and I think a black shirt and shorts." The only thing that would have made this better is if you had worn the helmet on the unicycle ride home.
During my somewhat limited and amateur flying career, I was taught to stay away from power lines....heck...let's just tear-up the manual and fly around on a 'copter made from Meccano! Ballsy! Like it!
One of the most baller vids on this platform. Absolutely zero fucks given, and like others have pointed out... Self built helicopter, flying around without a care in the world, then wheeling it across an intersection on a monowheel. Absolutely bonkers mate, love everything about this video and I'm so jealous lol
Man, it was so satisfying watching this video!.. soo neat the way he flew all over that field, Edit: pushing your helicopter at the end through that boulevard was awesome!
