I think the U Brands felt tip has FINALLY settled my discontent with my Weeks and just never being happy with any pens I have tried (and there have been MANY!).
Me too. And I don’t want to count how many pens I’ve tried in this paper. When I found these a couple years ago, I was shocked at how well they paired. Sometimes I get bored using the same pen, but it just works!
I bought my first Hobonichi weeks for 2024 and your videos have really helped me not only to choose right accessories, but also setting it up. Thank you! I love your "clean" style of planning :)
I am not a fan of Tomoe River paper, even though I am a fountain pen addict, but I don't use fountain pens in my planner. I like to use gel pens and markers (I like Le Pens). I discovered the Frixion pens in 2023 and absolutely LOVE them for planning because you can erase mistakes or changes instead of crossing things out or using correction tape. Keeps my planner neat and tidy! I think any supplies you purchase that can be re-used year after year (clips, pencilboards, etc.) are great investments and justifiable because you only have to purchase them once (or twice if you need more quantity,) and they are generally a low price point. Since I throw away my planners at the end of the year, I don't even use washi or stickers much--I use rubber or acrylic stamps instead (another reason I don't like TR paper in my planner--ink pads always ghost on TR, so I am using Travelers Notebooks and light-colored ink pads.)
Hi Sam, I use highlighters over the Pilot Frixion pen in my Hobo Weeks just fine. I wait a minute or two for the pen to dry then follow with either Frixion highlighters or Tombow dual brush pens. As long as you don't go over the pen repeatedly, it won't smear.
Hi Sam, I love your style and thoughts! As a totally random question, I am wondering if you use a planner process for Bible study? I just so enjoy your clean straightforward style.
I don’t use a planner process really, and this year I haven’t done much written study. I do hope to improve that in 2024, and if I think it’s share worthy, I will!
I'm the same way with tomoe river paper and the pen I use on it. I have to use a felt tip pen, I'd like to use a Jetstream but my handwriting always looks sloppy with one on TRP for some reason. My favorite is the Copic multiliner SP in 0.1. Dries supper fast on the TRP, fastest I've tested out of felt tip pens and highlights over with no issues! ❤ The darts and index clips are my satples too! Love them. Also a hobo pencil board! Also only use tombows to highlight in my planner! I'm also obsessed with oli clips, I can't believe others haven't made cheaper variants of them yet! 😂 we are planner tool twins!
@@samplans I work for a company that’s headquartered in Sandusky. I was going to see if you were familiar with them. It’s a home decor & furnishings company.
