My oldest son is in his early 20's and he has type 1 diabetes. But thank God for this piece of article ru-vid.comUgkxVYhghKWmrUgXARZ_ydZTvmmcrw5L0I5i At first he thought he had the flu and was lying down on the bed for three days until his sister took him to the hospital. They took his blood and it was 600. What I do not understand is how he could have gotten it, since no one in the family has it. But he is winning the battle now. This is good stuff.

My new endochrinologist is a very young doctor. Just saw him once so far. He is well aware of the new ADA acknoledgement that low carb is an option. I am flabbergasted at his knowledge of keto and fasting. He knows as much as I do! I think he really means it and is not just humoring me because my glucose control is so good. Very excited about this.

This was a great interview. I would love to know if the products can be bought in the UK? I was diagnosed diabetic begging of the lockdown in 2020. I wasn’t able to see a doctor so embarked on a low carb diet, blindly really. I found you guys and other keto channels and learnt what I could. 3 months after being told I was diabetic I had lowered my levels and the doctor was really impressed. Nearly a year on i am diet controlled no meds and feel really healthy. Thank you for all your hard work and help

I am a huge believer in a low-carb diet. Not just for diabetes but for all diseases. It is difficult to find a US dr that believes that a disease can be altered with something as simple as a long-term diet change. As well as the FDA is in bed with the pharmaceutical and pesticide companies and there is no money in food. The other issue is Israel is 448 times smaller than the US. How do we as a country make changes to our health care system?
@margaretgibbs1007
@margaretgibbs1007 3 года назад
Finding an easy low carb bread recipe was a game changer for me. I was previously addicted to bread and I only attempted LCHF after finding such a recipe. After the first few months I wanted it less and less. Now 2.5 years later I very seldom eat low carb bread (and never normal bread). My diet has gradually been getting more and more ancestral. So I agree that more carnivore-ish is a good place to end up, but low carb bread recipes etc definitely have an important place during the transition.

I lost 44 lbs and went from a 10.1 A1C down to a more normal 5.9 A1C in 9 months time...As she stated stop all the carbs then there is no insulin spike. Just as she stated also what edema I did have completely disappeared... We here in the USA have been programmed to eat all these processed and fast foods...its sad to see the obesity rate here...One of the biggest reasons we have so much obesity is that to eat healthy cost so much more than processed junk...

In the beginning she correctly states that T2D is an insulin problem, not a glucose problem but then goes on to say that a low carb diet is the best option because it lowers the A1C faster then medications. A low A1C is meaningless if you don't also lower insulin levels, and that doesn't happen until you free up space in your fat cells. Sure you can do this with a low carb diet, but you can also do it with a low fat diet or any diet that creates an energy deficit.

Fructose is 7 times more potent in raising A1c than glucose. Even galactose is 3 times more potent than glucose in this regard. She doesn't know insulin causes essential hypertension by causing sodium retention. Fructose causes fatty liver and pancreas and the latter hampers insulin production. Reversing non-alcoholic fatty liver is relatively fast but reversing fatty pancreas can be quite slow ( like losing the visceral fat ). Glucose and other monosaccharides are sticky and thickens the blood significantly to reduce capillary blood flow, thus increasing blood pressure and impairs microcirculation.
