I have always been a fan of the single frequency tor trashy areas, with the old x terra when I use to do parks, Im pretty much a beach detectorist now. but because of your videos which I love I have gone back to the parks with my Legend and 6 inch coil mainly running 15khz in park mode all metal and been smashing it with small silver jewellery mainly, great videos mate and learnt so much from them.

Great example of different frequencies! Do the test with Xterra pro please!

Curious to see what the “8” kHz does . It’s really hot on gold for some reason. Do the Xterra and the Fisher

Slammed it out of the park with this one Jeremy. Most advanced to least advanced, frequency is where it's at. That and response time ie separation. I often ponder about what would have happened if the tones were reversed. ie iron tones were high and for example silver tones were low. Hi tones grab your attention now, but what if it was reversed? I'm rambling, low on nutrition, I need a spam cake now!

Thanks brother. You just answered my question on buying a detector. Without this info would of bought junk. Any below the $400 new range I concider junk. Had junk when I was younger. Not having it again.

Ive always been using single frequency detectors in the past and went i got a minelab vanquish 440 with the multi IQ and i wish i went with one of them a couple of years ago but hay it is what it was at the time, but am stay with the muti frequency from now on.. Good video,

Wayne , apples are apples. Should be same with all.detectors . I can only think of a couple things that MIGHT NAKE A SLIGHT DIFFERENCE. ......great video. . Sure wish XP would give us manual ground balance.. Thanks for your hard work doing these tests.....I used a Tesoro Lobo at 14 kHz with a 15" coil fir some time. Eye opener.

Something s very different on the Xterra pro ,Ijs.. you can’t walk from the dry sand into the salt water with a single frequency machine. The Xterra pro you can. Nuff said. Thanks for the response! Loved the 2 Xterra 705 I have had over the years.

Those multi-frequency machines definitely got the edge in those high mineralized areas. I got a Fisher F5 like to hunt with. I know it wouldn't hold a candle next to those mutli-freqency machines.

So, according to what your saying, if you want to use an equinox and want to hunt for gold your better off with a 900 than a 700 since the 900 adds 20 and 40 KHz?

Thank you once again! I've been using my 600 since they first came out and I've upped my jewelry finds by using the higher frequency. I want to purchase another machine but I'm not sure if I really need one. On the other hand, I do want something with higher frequencies. I hunt similar to you not looking for deep silver targets. I'm in NC and the soil is not really bad at all. I would love your input. Price is not an issue.@@PaystreakSuperfreak

I remember you doing the tot lots with the 74kHz Deus 1 to find jewelry there. After seeing you do that, I was wondering whether I should get a Deus 1 instead of a Deus 2 for that higher frequency capability, Is there a lot of difference between 45 and 74kHz?

Ive been thinking the same thing. Maybe deus 1 with the high frequency coil

If you’re hunting a trashy park and don’t want to miss gold, will 40khz do better than a multifrequency setting that includes 40khz as one of its 2 frequencies?
@PaystreakSuperfreak
@PaystreakSuperfreak Год назад
single frequency is much more stable in a trashy spot. I use single frequency on Deus 2 and Legend in modern trash. Multi frequency is just complete chaos. 20khz works good so it is not too hot on the foil.

Ok.what would be a general frequency that would be good, but still people would not be adjusting settings as they are searching. In an unknown location mineral wise. Would there be a technology close to the challenge. Back then their was bbs and fbs by minelab, but they never improve it . They went with multi and lots of settings and programming just to satisfy some testers opinions for some grounds and some conditions. Just my opinion.

15khz-40khz range has always filled my bag the fastest. The lower frequencies tend to suck the batteries fast in these new detectors. 15khz works good on deep targets with low and high conductivity. 40khz works good on low conductors and small targets in the iron. Usually 40khz is less vulnerable to EMI.

This is small gold and a chain which is very hard to find anyway . This gold reads up on the lowest foil ID. Lower frequencies will hit medium sized gold no problem. I tried this test on all my Bounty Hunter detectors...they performed exactly the same as the F4.

@@PaystreakSuperfreak i only was able to find medium to large sized rings with the f4 when I used it now I’m finding earrings and chains with my legend!! I love the new machines and there higher frequencies
