Do you have any upcoming travel plans? I just left for a trip to Vancouver, BC! I wanted to share the essentials I bring and how I prep my hair so I don't have to do much to it. You can use any products for the same type of routine, but you can find the Curlsmith ones here: bit.ly/4aRNg6U
Yes..Gina After getting over a infection 😮💨 We plan a cruise to Alaska that's our goal, but God maybe telling us another phase in our life? Gurrrl...I hope somewhere besides this house 🏠 😫 and the doctor's offices. I love your video's they have kept me sane 😃🙃😘 Please keep'em coming 💖 I hope you had a wonderful time on your vacation 🙏😇💞🌷💞
Yesterday, got my first compliment on how curly and pretty my hair was since I was a teenager (a LONG time ago!) I honestly had given up and was keeping my hair pixie short… but I just wanted a change and needed a routine. Thanks so much!!!! Please never stop these videos!!!!
Ok. I just saw the wristbands you have on while washing your hair. Oh my gosh. Why didn’t I ever think of that to fix the ‘ water running down my arms’ situation?? L O L! Buying some today 😊 on another note. You have such amazing content, and it is so valuable. I would love to also hear how you would apply, or adjust, some of your teaching, as it would apply to a looser curl pattern or a wavy hair. You’re the best, sending a super chat!
Love the protein line. Next month going to see family in the Caribbean, so bought the CS travel diffuser, I've been using it and love it. Always bring my satin pillow case and bonnet. I will like to a tutorial the mouse and gel if CS! Appreciate your your tips for my silver curls
I just came home from a cruise to Grand Turks and Caicos. It was wonderful! I took most of the products you use and no frizz and easy as pie refresh. The wind and sun was not a problem. Now I am doing lake time and pool time. Summer is hard on my hair. I am being more careful now.😉
Another really insightful video, Gena! and I would LOVE to see you combine the Aqual Gel (my go-to gel) with the new Curlsmith Volume Mousse. I picked it up yesterday but I feel a bit intimidated lol! They market it as a "moisturizing mousse" so I'm hoping I might not even need a leave in underneath since my hair gets waterlogged fairly easily. Because I have fine hair I thought I would try a few curly hair mousses, but mousses are brand new to me and I do still want to achieve hold with the volume they add. I never even considered you could layer mousses and gels together and would love tips on that!
What would you recommend I put on my hair, on vacation, when I will be getting in and out of a pool or ocean numerous times a day? I plan on using a UV protection spray and a hat but I am thinking that I should apply something just so my hair doesn't get crazy frizzy during the day. (gel, cream, mousse?)
Welcome to BC! I'd be very interested to see how your hair holds up in our climate. I live on Vancouver Island, just 35 K west of the city of Vancouver.
I struggle with achieving volume at the roots. I do not look good with my hair flat to my head. How can I achieve this without affecting the curls? I have fine hair which tends to frizz.
I commented on your amazing hair on ig & I meant it, one of your best wash days & ive been watching you for awhile!! Great video, I like and use quite a bit of Curlsmith products! One thing I struggle with is the parts that I make for sectioning. You can still see them after fluffing. I struggle the most with finger coiling!! I can't do it. 🤷♀️ And I've tried!! Any suggestions on either one?
Yes, but I went back and watched it again & I went in with dry hands not wet. So I'll try wet next hair day. Thanks again Gena, you are so very good at explaining who, what, where, and why if you will, lol ❤
Hello! I tried the CurlSmith Volume line I saw in another video but it was very drying for me. Do you have any suggestions to stay within the CurlSmith line that might be a better fit? Thanks for so many informative videos for curly girls!
Hi Gena, I’m new to diffusing, so recently I brought a good hairdryer that came with a diffuser attachment from amazon. I normally just hover diffuse above my hair to avoid unnecessary frizz, since it’s the one I know and it’s easy to do for me. I’m not worried too much about shrinkage, but however I do want to get a bit of a shrinkage on the under layers of my hair, since they’re more elongated/looser. Plus, I’m trying to get more “curlier roots” at the top, and the back of my hair to look good and even with the rest 😅 any tips for diffusing those problematic areas without causing frizz? 😊
Wouldn't it be nice if there was some type of bank where people could send their unused products and exchange them for things they do use? maybe safety regs
Wow, our hair looks almost the same. But if I brushed and finger combed through my hair that much, there would be so much breakage. What would you suggest for brittle hair???
I can’t use gels and styling creams due to my sensory issues. They are sticky and feel heavy. They make me feel awful I can’t touch them. My curls looked awful all my life. Do you have any product recommendations that is like a cream or serum, not sticky, doesn’t feel heavy? Thank you
I partner with them regularly because I use and love their products so much! Other favorites that I love are AG, Umberto Giannini, Ouidad, Bounce Curl, etc.
