2010 Silverado , replaced oil pressure sensor , still came back with low oil pressure code , problem was the auto shop had done an oil change and put the wrong size oil filter on my silverado , changed the oil filter to the correct size and that fixed the problem.
On my O2, GMC sierra, 1500 4.8 V8. 2WD, I replace the O-ring on the pick up tube, and that solved the problem of the low pressure. A lot of work to change a $3 O-ring!
You forgot two things before you get to the oil pump. The screen underneath the oil pressure sender that shouldn't be there in the first place, and you need to check the o-ring at the front of the oil pickup tube. That oil pump actually looks just fine. Put a new spring in it and put 2235 mm washers underneath it and increase the oil pressure.
Ugh…. I have the low end knocking noise. Haven’t done the rest of the steps but I guess that means I need an engine. Also, my vehicle (95 sierra 1500) shuts off when driving. Not sure if that is the same issue or 2 issues such as fuel pump and engine failure. Needless to say I’m distraught as my other vehicle is also manifesting a low oil pressure. #oldvehiclejoys
I did a DOD delete. New lifters, cam timing chain and valley cover from scoggin dickey. Be rings, bearings gaskets, o rings, water pump, oil pump(melling )and belts. Oil light keeps coming on at the light or at idle. Once i pull off its fine. Light goes off. 07 suburban, fully rebuilt 5.3 I changed the pick up tube ring. Problem went away for maybe a week. Fresh oil change last week.
a low engine oil pressure error can also be due to a bad oil filter. Because I had a case when replacing the oil pump with a new one did not eliminate the problem, but the banal replacement of the filter with a new one, of better quality, because the previous one was almost new but cheap, helped to eliminate it. Also, an error can occur due to cheap or unsuitable engine oil for your car
So my oil pressure on my 05 silveraydo went out the other day. I had already replaced the sensor last summer just for faulty gauge. So I legit lost pressure. Engine still runs and runs like nothing is wrong for first 15 mins but then pressure drops and engine wants to die. Changed oil filter to make sure it wasn’t bad. Still have problems. I don’t get any knocking or noise in the engine like the vid has. Just trying to troubleshoot some more before I buy a new engine

I just watched one of your videos on blower motors and I found somewhere to test that the ground wire is the problem by creating circuit with a piece of wire. I touched it to the connector near the ground wire and touched to metal bracket. There was a spark, but the fan started to work - could it still be the resistor? Learned a lot from your videos, thanks!!!
My tundra has the same problem after I got the oil changed and I heard that the mechanic had messed up oil filter and now my oil pressure gage go up and then it dropped
I have that high end noise, and my oil pressure goes from 275 to the last quarter of the indicator after a few minutes but stays stable in there even after hours of driving. Truck runs like nothing and there is no engine light on. A few months ago dealerships change the oil sensor before I bought it. What can I do ?
