Using MicroBlocks (microblocks.fun) you can program a micro:bit to be a low-power AM radio transmitter and use it to send beeps, Morse code, or music to a nearby AM radio. The power is low and the range only a few feet, so this does not violate FCC rules, but it demonstrate the key principles of AM radio transmission. The MicroBlocks code is simple and easy to understand. The yellow alligator clip wire is the antenna.
