That Paleo Water Control deck looked plenty playable if the guy who made it actually knew what they were doing and not just spamming Rise to Full Height on turns where they activated Threatening Roar.

So actually, because Sea Stealth Attack is a really good card with no flaws, it actually needs to already be face up to use it's banish effect. There was no escaping that Anomalocaris.

@@NovatoEx It is only specifically SSA because it says jt gains the effects when flipped up. e.g. unending nightmare can flip up and immeidelty chain to itself I believe.

Idk unless I'm playing a starter deck or cards from 20 years ago I wouldn't find winning fun knowing my opponent made 50 misplays. Gold ranks probably the best place to play for fun

@@troytheboy1985 I’ve had exactly 1 meta deck since Master Duel started, and that’s just because I liked Branded Despia - that’s coincidentally the only time I’ve gone above Gold, without the ladder being 90% AFK bots. I like to play dumb Jank and Pet Decks, so I try to stay where I’m most likely to find Jank and Pet Decks.

I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not, but from my non-Yu-Gi-Oh player perspective, I can't see a way that he bricks. He either gets the Trap Monsters he wants, the hand traps he wants, the spells he wants or the Monsters he wants. Like what combination of cards can you draw that would be considered a "brick hand?"

@@justinalicea1590 yu-gi-oh is a lot more combo/synergistic than other card games, good decks are mostly combo decks that want certain extenders and set up a lot of things going first or combo that can otk and having a pile of good tools that makes a control or midrange deck like u might in other games isn't as good as making decks to just be as consistent as possible

Just FYI you play Pasifis in Umi Control for the free token and extra body for SSA. You don't play the traps because they can only be activated if you only control normal monsters making them bricks 99% of the time.

@@gnrjrafferty1 Yes but the Umi Control deck wasn't playing Paleos. Umi Control is the deck playing Kairyu-Shin and Electric Jellyfish (Duelist A). You could technically play Paleos in a Pasifis deck but you couldn't play their Xyz with the Phantasm traps so you're better off playing other cards.

2:01 isnt it a ruling with Gravekeeper's Servant and DiFi that you cant attack because you dont know if youll mill a monster which gets banished or a S/T? I know GKS forces a cost to perform an action whereas TGLG is an effect, but I feel like its similar

I don't think the person playing the deck cares. I bet they probably saw all the level 2s and Waters and thought "Yeah, I'll make this and give it a shot" and threw in the Ishizu cards and Grass for more consistency and utility
