New upgrades to my 2022 Low Rider ST- new GP Suspension +2” cartridges and black DLC coated forks. No more bronze, powder coated wheels, etc. #fxlrst #lowriderst #m8
Hey man im in the bay as well. Who's doing the work for you on the bike? Im looking for a good shop. I want to do my suspension and possibly powder coat my wheels as well.
i have 10.5" risers with stock front suspension. when you raised your bike up did the handlebars go up +2 as well? and how does it handle - do you feel more 'in' the bike now that the front is up?
The handlebars stay at the same relative height. I am not sure about feeling more in the bike, but adding some height in the front and back has improved the aesthetics of the bike as well as the amount of lean angle. Not to mention the stock front and rear suspension on these are horrible. The actual suspension upgrades are functional- adding the GP cartridges plus a JRI shock in the back has made a huge difference in the way the bike tracks through corners, etc. The added height element is a personal preference and confidence thing for me.
@@pauldenton9568 ah i can see how they stay at the same relative height - feel silly now for thinking it will go up by itself. stock height of the suspension makes it look like the fairing is too close to the front fender. REALLY like how yours looks instead.
@@HeyNoah I think it does- but anything is an upgrade over stock. My first M8 so I don’t have much to compare to. I will say the mid range (I believe you’d call it) seems nice.
I like it. Have had a few, seems to be fine at night for me.. but at night I’m usually on the interstate or city street, might make a difference out in the country, not sure, it’s been a while. You can see in the video how transparent it is. Was late afternoon/evening.
I picked up a used 21 LRS a few days ago and the suspension in the front feels like crap. I can feel every bump in the road. Did the new front suspension alleviate this stiffness?
Bike looks great! I will sub.. I want to hear your thoughts on those mods.. I'm 5ft 10 also.. I want to do the kraus 8.5 with some pullback.. Are you liking the bar height?
@@mikeessary4925 I like my current height. Totals out to about 12-12.5”. I’ve experimented with a lot of different setups- whenever I go past risers that are around 8”+”high bend” bar height (maybe 13”-14” total) I tend to feel like I don’t have as much control.
Thanks. Only have a powervision tune from Fuel Moto right now but dyno soon. FM will provide PV tunes for your specific pipe and cam combo. Not perfect but works in the meantime
I really like it. I initially just had a tune from Fuel Moto on my Powervision but did take it in for a custom dyno tune a few months ago. It made a big difference. Dyno’d at 120/140
