Hi Mike - we suggest going directly to Lowe with this question, as they will have tested different outboards and props at different heights. They have an email contact form on their site, or you can call 800-641-4372.
Adman101010 The Stinger should have no problems; we didn't note any hardware or fittings that fall short of light saltwater use. Just give it (and the engine, of course) a thorough washdown and flush with freshwater afterwards, and the boat should handle it just fine.
dick smack my brother has a two year old Lowe bass boat that the hull came apart on. Not bumps in it no scratches on it because he hit NOTHING. It was cheap welding or quality of material. After taking it to the Lowe factory he was told that it was driver error and their promised hull warranty would not replace it and to turn it into his insurance. He was fishing Lake Guntersville with two to three feet waves.( Very common ). Lowe states their foam filled boats are built for rough and choppy water. They also sale boats with a promise of a great warranty on the Hulls. I know many people say they love their Lowe boat but would love to hear the real reason the manufacturer won't stand behind their word and guarantee on this. It helped me decide not to buy a Lowe or any other Name boat that Lowe may sell.
Guy Sparacello remember this great piece of advice,...there are always two sides to a story. You know absolutely nothing other than what someone is telling you. You have zero evidence to base a clear, accurate, and precise opinion of the boat. If you based a decision not to purchase this boat due to someone on the Internet without any evidence to substantiate then you need to self reflect for a bit.
