I have the same backpack and the ting i love most is the thing i didn't see you use !! The waist strap can be used to sling the backpack in front of you to easy acces your camera i love it !! i think its the greatest thing about he backpack, anyway really interesting how you carry. It's a lot different as i have done, i almost want to make a video about it :p And i agree on the camera apartment ventilation.
Great review. It helped me decide against buying this bag, because of the limited configuration possibilities of its removable equipment tote. I went instead for the Lowepro ProTactic BP 250 AW backpack, which is configuration heaven by comparison, also in a small form factor.
I had the older version and sold it. It was a nice bag, practical and not so ugly. The problem is for me, it is not comfortable. Shoulder strap are quite wide but still kind of not helpful. I will be looking for a similar bag with more comfy straps and waist strap that can transfer some weight.
To the best of my knowledge it’s not designed to hold a tripod out of the laptop holder. I’ve done with when I have to carry a lot of gear or my trip gets really dirty or wet and I don’t want to put it back in the top zipper area.
