Nah, it's because they're technically no longer lower decks. They're all lieutenants now. They get their own quarters. They will need to fill that fun gap badly though.
A continuity error is not a _plot hole._ Blue skin or green skin, the pronunciation of Oreos or Orions, neither of these affect the plots in the slightest.
It's not even a continuity error. Only English pronounces "Orion" like "o-ryan." Every other language it's "ore-eon", Spanish, Greek, Romanian, they all pronounce it the same way. The director of that TAS episode just happened to be an immigrant. If anything this just shows how unworldly the vid-maker is.
Personally, I would have gone with 'Oryons' being the males and are blue, while 'Orions' are the women and are green. But the gendering of other languages are a mystery to most Americans, so it probably wouldn't have flown.
