What's great with this sport is that obviously these gentlemen are real beginners not even tennis players but they still can play and have fun. I'd love to see an advanced video analysis. greetings from France
Kudos to you Sandy for putting the effort into educating more people about this wonderful sport. I found this piece extremely useful for an intermediate player like myself. Looking forward to learning more from videos in this format. Keep up the good work!
Great video, good to see the mistakes being pointed out. Would have loved to see the mistakes while being talked through them and then see examples on how it should be done, that would bring an extra level to the video. Great work though, thanks!
This was great! The game is so different in beginner level vs pro so these kind of tips and instructions are great to learn how to do thing better! Loved it :)
Great to see that some guys from my home country did send you material to analyze. We should have videoed the other day when we were playing outdoors while it was snowing!
Moro!
Tulin btw juuri kentältä, on kyllä nautinnollinen laji!
@@ceekay9184 joo tää Padel on ihan sairaan hauskaa, itte kans junnuna tennistä hakannut 10 vuotta, aikuisena vaan muutama kesänä lämmittänyt tennistaitoja uudelleen.
Great Sandy! All your videos are great but this type for low to mid level is so needed. Higher levels get analysis from their trainers but we don't usually get that so this is so appreciated to know how to improve our game. Thanks!
Victor Cabrera I’ve noticed how important this is for the group of players that watch this channel. So I guarantee you will see more of this type of content 👍
Just started playing padel and this video is great! well, all videos from the padel school are amazing. I really want to learn bandeja and of course to smash it out of the court! lol. Anyway, great great videos. Where I live padel classes are insanely expensive so this is my source
So glad to hear the videos are helping you! We have a simple quick video on the bandeja here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yHAJ5XjFUNg.html as well as a course on our website if you want to dive deeper: thepadelschool.com/courses/the-bandeja-course/ . Let us know how you get on!
Really enjoy these match analysis videos. I am lucky enough to live in Spain where playing padel is very inexpensive and there are players of all different levels . I am 57 and have been playing for about four years without ever being coached. I reckon I am a lower end level four player or good level five player. Getting better than that is difficult but hoping watching these videos will help.
Great content and easy to take in pointers which makes it greatly educational! And also props to the guys "daring" to share the video :) Most people are not in for a treat by filming themselves (we've done it a couple of times and dear god is it far from how you expect!) and I guess one of the main reason for that is because of improper foot work and shot preparation as you point out here.
That's a really cool thing to do, analyze people's matches ;-) After seeing this video, they're more 'scoopers' than players :-))) (everyone has to start someday...) I hope to see more analyzes from strong players, so I can figure out what my mistakes are and correct them ;-)
Hopefully you can find one of the analysis videos that you kind find similarities with your level. Here is the playlist of them all: ru-vid.com/group/PLFotglr241m5NPbI2Kbx2zDkzbL3_7KEQ
As usual, this is really good stuff! We have been playing padel for three or four years now, but can see in this demonstration exactly how we initially played, and how your comments summarise the instruction and coaching which has moved the game on for us. Watching here, you can see clearly why that positioning is key....and why being caught in ‘no mans land’ is so embarrassing (still occasionally happens)! We thoroughly enjoy your coaching videos, thanks for posting them! Hopefully, here on Fuerteventura, we will be back on court in another week or so....!
Glad you enjoy them! I will have an intermediate video analysis coming up soon, so that might also be good to watch! Hope you are back on court soon! (P.S. I find sometimes it still happens to me too! Difficult to remove the tennis instincts!)
Thank You for the video, I think though You would encourage people much more by showing them also videos of How it's done, and not only of how it's not done
Thanks, this is an early analysis on the channel, so working to improve it each time. I mainly do the analysis for tactics and all my tutorials are for the technique, but I can look to add some in the analysis videos too...
Thanx for a very good jobb giving us beginners advice in this very funny game. I allways want to take the game to a higher level and check this kind of video all the time. I would appreciate that at the end of the video three points on what is the most important, can be a bit much sometimes and do not know what the most important thing is to have in mind (remember)..
Thanks Nisse, good suggestion! I mention alot because some points might be relevant to you, while others more relevant for other players. But will try to make the summary more concise...
Congrats! This is a very nice approach to padel teaching. I've played the game for a few years now and although the game analyzed is very beggining level I still find that your comments are very useful. As you know, in Spain padel is huge, and there are many websites, tutorials, blogs, you-tube pages etc in spanish. However I haven't seen this type of analysis done before, other than at advanced or pro level. Overall I find that your website is very interesting. Keep it up! Agustín (Valencia, Spain)
Agustín Campos Catalá thank you for your support and suggestion! I’m also glad you enjoy the website! Hopefully the intermediate analysis coming up will also be useful 👍
Fabulous teaching on the basic foundations. I've just started playing whilst in Feurteventura on a long holiday. I've also discovered that there are 2 padel courts in my area in the UK. My biggest issue is actually trying to apply the foundations whilst playing competitively with the adrenaline on full tap! I'm thinking of taking some coaching sessions on my return to the UK to iron out the wrinkles.... hopefully!
this was pure gold, good to se different level of players with quality comments! In future, if possible, you could try to slow down some parts of footage to emphasise on things you're pointing out! keep it up!
Firstly I would to say your videos are very helpful on developing padel skills. I would like to let a topic for a future video if that is something of you interest of course. Regarding how handle a racket in a way to avoid wrist’s injuries. Which are the movements we need to avoid? Thank you so much!
Great video, great to hear good feedback / guidance from you on different levels of players. Valid comment about showing some in slow motion as well Missing playing like craaaaaazy! Greeting from the UK in lockdown Stay safe wherever you are
Very informative, would love to see more match analysis from the intermediate level. An in depth video on serve return focusing on the side glass is more than welcome! Keep up the good work🙂
Good video! It would help if you visualised how a mistake should have been avoided. I get its a looot more work if you had to do it for every mistake. But for instance you could take the top 2 or 3 most types of mistakes in a match and show a short clip of how you wouldve reacted to the situation. So for instance here what to do instead of going into no mans land when youre not confident of approaching the net. Or how you would get behind the ball after a smash/lob. I know you have videos on these. But ofc its different when you get the ball from this video or when a partner shoots you accurate balls in your tutorial videos. Again cool vid. Those would be my recommendations 👍
Late to the party but I just discovered Padle. I love this type of content! As newbie I found it a bit hard to follow the analysis, though. I think some editing changes could have helped me: Name the players and highlight the hot spots more in the scenes. Or maybe less examples but a slower and more detailed analysis with some replays and more visualized fixes for the mistakes. I also didn’t know the shot names when I watched first. Maybe add a title with the explanation. Then you save some seconds and can just call them by name. Liked & subscribed! 👍
Hey Shack, Thanks for this feedback! We will take it on board for future content. We are pleased to hear that you are now part of our padel community and wish you all the best in your journey!
Yes, this is one of my earliest analysis videos, I hope they are getting better as we go! Let me know: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vSIjDpzquD4.html
Really good video! One thing that I think would help even more is if you in the video also show short clip of how it should look instead of just telling us.I think myself and others that is on a low level would benefit more if you show the correct way just after so we can compere and see the difference. Once again good video :)
Yesterday, coming home from a small scale padel tournament, I searched for padel clips. The title of this one seemed interesting - and when I started watching, it turned out that the clip is from the very padel place where I had played an hour earlier. (I actually did some warming up alone on the court in the clip.) Not the most dramatic story, I guess, but a bit of a funny coincidence.
@@ThePadelSchool Yes, it is. (Padelpark in Turku, btw, for those who don't know). It has seven courts now, and a good atmosphere. I'm new to the sport (started playing in the spring with some friends), but I played a fair amount of tennis and table-tennis waaay back (mostly 20-35 years ago), so I have held a racket before. I am really hooked on padel, as everyone who tries the sport seem to be, so I'm eager to learn & play. This is a great channel for that.
Btw, Padelpark has a few outdoor courts around town also. Here two of them are opened, with our local tennis hero Jarkko Nieminen (highest singles ranking #13 in the world) joining in (in the bandana)! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iBDQnn1QS4c.html
Great Video! Low level anaylisis is very helpful. Would it be possible to make it easier and point out on the video who are you talking about? and what they shouldve done to beat their openents. Thank you!
Mattias - if they are going for an aggressive smash. At this level I'd suggest both running forward. At a higher level, one stays back incase it is a fake smash. But usually the person on the left side is better positioned to run forward in this case. But that obviously depends on the point and where the players are...that make sense?
Great video, it was good poinitng out the obvious mistakes but maybe u could show how it should be done correcty also (I know u explained it mostly but much easier to get it if u make a clip of it aswell)
Thanks for the suggestion. I am trying to do that with the rest of my videos otherwise the analysis video could be an hour long! haha. But I'll try to get more demos involved!
