Girrrl!! I'm 16 days post op from ankle ligament repair surgery....and they did the wrong freaking ankle!!! So they had to go back in and do the correct one. Now I'm down both legs 😭 finally casted in one and an air cast on the other and I'm able to kind of walk. With my walker of course. So glad you're hanging it there. Surgery is rough and what a bummer of a time to be down with the holidays coming up! Stay strong! We can do this 💪💕

You could sue that dr for doing wrong ankle and needing to do the other ankle too!! Didn’t they mark your ankle with a marker as to which one they’re operating on? They’re supposed to so there’s no confusion or doubt in operating room. I’d talk to an atty and see what he says. I pray you recover quickly. I’m so sorry this has happened to just before xmas.

@@deborahkuhl9185 Yes, the surgeon initialed the correct one and they still messed up. 🤦‍♀️ Everyone in the OR agreed it was the right one. So unbelievable and I've already spoken to an attorney 👍. Thanks for your well wishes! ❤

Hey! It’s me again, your pal that had this same surgery in 2020. At the time of my surgery, I couldn’t feel my big toe, had numbness and tingling in the other toes. My shin was numb. The shooting pain from sciatica was only felt from butt cheek to knee due to the numbness. I had drop foot. My surgeon told me that recovery happens in the reverse order of the ailments. So the first thing to go away and “heal” would be the pain. However, I panicked day two when my nerve pain was worse than the weeks leading up to surgery. I had to do a full week of steroids so the nerve could stop freaking out. After that, the only pain I had was minimal at the incision site. However, numbness and weakness were still present. The next thing to go away was the numbness. It was a gradual thing. Day after day I could feel more. Then there was the strength. That took time in PT but also improved in my 4 weeks of post op before my PT. All of this to say, be patient. As long as you’re following the doctors orders, good things are coming your way. Please reach out in a comment if you’ve got other questions. I follow you on Instagram too and am totally here to answer questions from my experience. I made a full recovery and even was able to go back to the gym and weight lifting (not right away) after my surgery. No pain at all. So there is lots of hope.

That’s sounds like exactly what’s happening to me. Makes total sense now that you explained it. My dr has been great at calling me and reassuring me which gives me so much hope. Thank you for sharing! It really puts my worries at ease

You’re doing amazing job for it only being day 5!! I hope miralax works as i know how uncomfortable it is when you’ve gone days w/o a bm. It sounds like the nerves are starting to heal too. Congrats on showering by yourself! I pray I do as good as you when I Have my surgery next month.

Oh honey… sending lots of prayers! It’s baby steps! Remember when your sweetie was tiny and started trying to crawl and pull up and walk?? It wasn’t immediately and this will not be either… you are just a few days out! I wish I was closer and I’d come cook for you guys and spend time! Hang in there! Sending lots of loving prayers for strength, healing, and patience!❤

Chloe, I watch your videos all the time but I never have commented. But I feel like I know you strange as that sounds lol. I was so surprised to see that you were sick and had surgery. But sweetheart you are doing GREAT. I know it's hard but hang in there it will pass and you will be up in no time at all it hasn't been that much time post op. Take this time to rest and I know you are probably bored and above all frustrated.. Your doing just great just don't over do it. Your positive attitude is soooo inspiring to me. You are definately a woman that's so easy to admire. Take care sweetheart and know we are all praying for you. 💓💓💓💜💜take care and I'll check on you next update. 😇😇

Just take it one day at a time, it’s so hard but you will get there.. I had a quarter size skin cancer removed off the back of my ankle 4 weeks ago and I’ve never felt pain like this before, it’s gonna be a long recovery period for me and I can’t do a lot because I start hurting and have to get off my foot so I feel you there..Keep your head up, your doing great.♥️👏🏻

You're doing great. Keep your head up. I know from experience with shoulder surgery that recovery seems to take a lot longer than we'd like. I'm having a lot of back issues myself (have for years and it's gotten noticeably worse) and at last MRI over 5 years ago had a bulging disc, L4 I believe, and had very advanced Degenerative Disc Disease for my age. My physical therapist believes that something else has happened because I'm having a lot of sciatic or nerve damage symptoms with burning sensation on the left side and pain going down my left leg very often. Did you have trouble lifting your leg straight out before surgery?

I just had a decompression and disectomy of the L3-L5. Not even a week recovering and I still have some nerve pain in my right leg. Hope it gets better in the weeks ahead.

Baby steps are an improvement. Stay trong you got this!! Magnesium is AHHHHMAZING for helping one go. Works better for me than myralax. ❤️❤️

Keep positive! You got this. Magnesium actually is amazing on helping with bowel movements. It works amazing for that and muscle /nerve function.

Also miralax works by absorbing fluid and loosening stool. But it won't help as much with the muscle movement. Stimulant laxitives will force the body. But try magnesium first. It's gentler. Sorry for the unsolicited advice but this is something I'm very familiar with. Belly massage can also help. You'll also notice this improve as you are able to get up more.

I get constipated too. Here’s what works for me. 1-calm (magnesium)2-4 gummies a day. Swear by it. 2-“Chupa pansa” It’s a tea. Drink before bed you’ll poop by morning 3-use a stool softener. Better than laxatives. Maybe a combo of all 3.

Been doing stool softeners everyday and had no luck. Same with dulcolax. I know it will come but I’ll try magnesium!
