@@PandaMotorworks While in theory it would remain the same assuming the added springs were shorter but *significantly* stiffer than stock, your overall compliance when loaded and bottoming resistance would be noticeably diminished. So, in short, your towing/hauling would be worse. There is no way to avoid this.
I am wondering the same thing. Just leave the bump stops alone? I guess if you plan to do moderate to heavy hauling, cutting them makes more sense. I guess if you go back to stock, the bump stops are still un modified.
I’m totally with you on that. The whole reason for having it is because it is a functional vehicle. Miser well take off the pickup bed if you’re going to do that.
@@Aj_0400You hit the nail on the head. I’m 65, had knees, and hip replacement, foot and spine fusion, ankle replacement, you get what I’m talking about. It’s all about comfort and getting in and out of the cab without having to climb into it.
This is not for everyone but a good % of the owners. We struggle to keep any lowering spring in stock for the Maverick! Glad you are enjoying yours though!
