“Did I lower it enough?” It’s never enough... I’ve always loved that first generation body-style...I always wanted one. I had a couple of friends who had them. I did put a clutch in for my one friend who wasn’t mechanical. Your truck looks good, I like it!
Yes!!! Cruising with the kid, super cool trip! "Come on Dad, I'm youtubing in here!!" Music is great with this one man!! The wheel sanding at @8:00 is genius!!!! Truck looks great man!!
Looks good man. Perfect height, because you can always put bigger wheels and tires on it, for when you need more traction for the extra bald eagles you get from that 8 cylinder in the shape of a V. Hahah.
I have a '93 S-10, 2 door, 2 wheel drive, short bed. It came with a 2.8L EFI V6 and a 5 speed. It now has a carbureted 383ci V8 and a Muncie "rock crusher" 4 speed, as well as a Ford 8.8 rear axle. I didn't lower it. I wanted it to be drivable. I put 225/70-14 BFG Radial T/As on 14x6 Camaro Rallys in the front, and huge 275/60-15 Radial T/As on mid '70s 15x8 Corvette Rallys in the rear. Quite a few other things too, but that is the big stuff. I tried my best to make it look like an early '70s muscle car, and I think it turned out well. It has a true dual exhaust out the back, with glasspacks, and just over 400hp at the rear wheels at 5400 rpm. Burnouts are super easy. It's almost hard not to do one. You have to take it easy on the pedal. I bought all new aftermarket reproduction rally wheels, trim rings, and center caps. The 14x6 Camaro and 15x8 Corvette rallys are exactly the same other than size. All in all I have over $2000 into tires and wheels. Did you check the pinion angle? It needs RWL tires, trim rings, and a cowl hood.
I’ve lowered 2 of my s10’s and kept the shocks from factory. After researching extended and compressed lengths of factory shocks versus Bell tech. Theres hardly any difference in measurements between them.
Looks good 👌. I have a 92 S-10 it's been lowered also. I also have a 383 stroker and it didn't lower the front at all 🤷♂️. Are you doing anymore to it?
@@PatinaPitstop oh yes definitely needs the V8. I don't have AC either but didn't need it growing up in Alaska lol. I'm building mine like a street legal type. I used Chris Alston chassis works for the back half with a 4 link set up. Still need to finish the suspension and figure out which rims and tires to go with
Yeah should of went lower. But it still looks good. If you v8 swap that thing you will definitely need to change out the front springs. Love the name! Shane Falco 😂😂
What size are those rally rims? I just bought an '87 S-10. It has original wheels on it, but came with rally in bed. They're 15×7 with 1" spacers. I like my tires to be tucked under wheel well and not sticking out. Would that size (15 × 7 rim) stick outside the fender? Nice truck!⚡👍⚡
a long shot 3 year old video but here it is I want to do a 3-2 on my 91 what size tires and rims you running with them 2in drop spindles I can't seem to get answer on line. can I run my stock 14's
What options did u have to do a 3/4 drop? I have a 89 and wanting to lower it for now but not slam it just yet ? I like the 2/3 but would rather go 3/4...theres alot of wheel gaps in these trucks
@@PatinaPitstop i would rather use the drop spindles..just my preference...but i would also like to level mine...ya know now have any rake at all to it...i watched another video of a guy doing a red one like yours and used the 3 inch blocks in the back and another inch in drop shock to get the even height for 2/4 drop. Mine has the 4.3 v6 also.
@@PatinaPitstop what size is ur wheel ? Any advice in the pieces to level it. I'd really like to not have any rake, just lowered and level ya know. How do u determine the rake also ? (I know I could probably google it but obviously your got 1st hand experience and im wanting to do a lot of the same to mine)
Stock factory rallies. 15x8 in back 4 inch backspace I think. 255/60r15 tires. Fronts are 15x7 with 4 1/4 backspace i believe. 215/70r15 tires but i think 215/65 would look better
