one thing that's worth mentioning is that the damage dropoff for the SG starts at ~150m (alongside the FAL, AUG, Scar, and AK15) which makes using it at range feel suuuper good compared to the M4/ACR
> watch a MrWong BBR weapon vid > like it, try out the gun in-game > love it, grind it out > halfway to the grind, new MrWong weapon vid drops > tfw Seriously though, good stuff - I might just put this on my to-play list for my Assault. After I finish the M110 and G3 ... and the P90 ...
Yeah, this gun has the "I'm going to empty my mag at that pixel far away just to see if I can hit it ... Oh ... ok I just killed that guy" badge. It's a great pick on sandy sunset when you spawn without a plan, and just want to pump lead into something.
You know a build is OP when you break out the Razor. What a sublime med-long range optic for low recoil, mid range dominance. Razor, m110 goes hard AF. Long suppressor, Quick Scope, Bolt-C running ass, L-96 supremacy tho, I'm in your base killing your dudes. Point blank C4 for when my glock and balls are drained. FlIR during the day bc I forgot it bc I exist solely on Isle Night, the best map in the game. I'm not trolling, it's so pretty and the gameplay is perfection. Have fun finding the single brick at night, let alone hitting me through it, tracer isn't enough, Pickaxe OP AF, and I always run suppressor unless it's time to play "King of the bottom right island" on funny sphere map and geodesic DOME MF's from 2200m, fine art to enjoy while reloading. . I adore this game. Riot shield, glock Phalanx inbound, its the meta.
I think that people very much undervalue having a fast ADS time. Taking 0.05s less to ADS doesn't sound like a lot, but in a game where you might kill in .15s just by hitting people in the dome, that's a third of your time spent just aiming down sights. Of course ideally you'd always pre-aim where someone is coming but I don't think that's a luxury even a high KPM player always has.
my favorite video so far, for the gameplay and the sports tangent. As an American I never heard of the AFL till now, and they are some beasts. keep up the great videos mate
Another awesome video MrWong! Your right it IS your channel, the bit about football was hilarious 😂. I think your striking a good balance between your intentions of your channel and videos and say.. going off topic and really letting your personality thru. That and how you consider others perspective, your empathy is why I really enjoy your channel, don't loose your heart and keep em coming man! Thank you 😁
The flash hider/suppressor are really good attachments that id argue are a lot better for high skill players. The extra recoil from the flash hiders not actually much because it % based and it reduces the high horizontal, and suppressors good for flanks obv.
@@tonomrwong have you tried it with the flash hider though? your video said you recommend for poeple trying to get hte most out of it they should use urk - quick - tactical 1. it helps with the flash 2. horizontal recoil
To me this gun has so many outstandingly good stats so I consider it one of the best ARs in the game. It's by far my most used gun at ~2500 kills ADS time: 0.14 which is just about TWICE as fast as the M4A1 w/ vertical grip. Range: tied for best in category Ammo: 2 extra mags for free Reload time: faster than most other ARs Recoil: very low, its a laser with the right attachments. It's top tier in multiple regards yet I hardly see people using it, most underrated ARs in my opinion.
do you notice any bad TTK/DPS scenarios with this gun? or is hitting the headshot a requirement to subside that? as a lower skilled player here (coming in from controller... kbm is hard lol) ive been finding that with specifically this gun ive been struggling with it... even though the urk/quick combo is incredible.
@@mac_sour I did notice this sometimes, but as I said in the video, the headshots and fast ADS time made it okay, but that being said in theory it does have low DPS, so if you are feeling that its hard to use that is very understandable
That's probably a mix of a playstyle and a skill issue, but i find sg550 comfortable but annoying. I'm a high-caliber enjoyer, and with those rifles (scar, g3, m110) you either miss your shots or kill everybody at most ranges. With sg550 i often find myself in situations where i hit my shots but the enemy with lower ttk gun kills me first. That's annoying. Also i feel like the benefit of low recoil high rof rifles isn't good enough, sure, they'll come victorious at ranges around 50-100m but with high caliber 3 shot killing weapons you can extend this effectiveness up to 200m and probably beyond. Everything stated above is just my personal preference, i don't think that sg500 is a bad weapon, just i don't get along with these types of weapons
When talking about DPS, there's something many people don't consider: Accuracy! The raw DPS number only holds true if you're hitting all of your shots. If you're missing, the DPS goes down. The FAL is one of the guns that comes to mind when I bring this up
yeah for sure! In my atatchments guide I talk about how lowering vert recoil can make accuracy go up, in turn making your TTK faster. Very good observation!
I love when real life Wong comes out. As an American, it's unusual. But I avoid all sports. Particularly as a New Englander I get a lot of flack for not supporting the teams. I did watch CS:GO eSports for a while. Cloud9 was my team.
I read a while ago that it was basically an smg up close on a reddit post or something so I always thought the dps was pretty good. It was probably because of the sg550's low recoil, fast ads. Personally its my fav gun rn because I loved the low recoil and range of the aug, but wanted something a little better for cqc.
my favorite AR! I'm so happy it's here (in the video) that I'm crying! Also don't understand why recoil feels so good because I have builds on others (like g36s) with less in numbers but worse in feeling 🤔
People complain about how the hk419 wasn't good up until the patch, but I got to say I think it was the best gun, for some reason the horizontal recoil didn't affect me at all whereas the sg550 felt like it danced around the targets I was trying to shoot at. I don't know, Everyone likes this gun and I hate it
Usually run flash-hider / no mag / vertical. Flash-hider because the muzzle flash is painful and since horizontal recoil is harder to control as it's random as opposed to vertical which is just pull down. It's still hilariously low recoil and now it has no wiggle. Great night map weapon since the ADS speed allows the use of FLIR without a big ADS speed debuff, flash-hider is enough to make it difficult for enemies to spot you. Even at prestige 2 I still equip it on night maps. AUG is on paper better but I find SG works better for me :P
27×5=135, so it takes 6 bullets to kill heavy armored target eg assault player who never opened character tab Flash hider is way better for extending the range as vertical is already low enough Acr besides the ms has the extended B mag which for some reason holds 35 bullets has no ms penalty and impoves both reload speed and ads time which is the real reason it should be picked at all On a flank 5 extra bullets make the difference
I know they buffed it twice but I still can't play with this gun without a suppressor or flash hider to deal with the muzzle flash. I still lose people constantly in the middle of shooting without them
I tried running this, it's much faster if you are able to aim the head fast enough, not sure if there was recent changes but my AUG is faster reload and higher damage, mid to long range. but for rushing in CQB this thing can be a beast!
Wong is somehow both extremely fast paced and yet also very slow paced. He will explain having a fun time with relatives as he intensely plays 4x better than I do 😭
Is suppressor not kind of poor at close range because the other good players will locate you at that range from the sound anyway? Opposingly, yeah accuracy only matters well over 50m or so. So agreed always prioritise other stats unless you expect to be doing single shot picks at long range. I've definitely been sat with an LMG though a few times with my xhair right in the correct spot and had to tap like 5-6 times until a round lands though becaue it was far and the accuracy stat itself was the issue - but I'm in those positions because I am going for the high value flank where I can burst down some closer foes so the trick is to remember that and not waste time on the far folk even if they're standing still.
Where does this misconception come from that low recoil&damage = low skill? Recoil is just randomness and pulling down harder on your mouse isn't particularly skillful. However consistent headshots are, and they are only possible on guns that don't spray too much. High recoil&damage guns make both good and bad aim players more mediocre by letting jesus take the wheel a bit.
I really like this, I think you are defo onto something, alot of competitive guns in this game (that aren't smgs) are very headshot based. I agree that we need to redefine what we consider skill based
right now the ump is like a groza without recoil but if youre fixed on using the groza the suppressors are really good but the other barrels really dont do all that much because they dont really reduce the first shot recoil which is most of the grozas recoil
