Thanks for review!. My bass tracker came with one and although I bought a Garmin echomap 93sv for my main unit I still plan on using the Hook. I will probably mount it on the bow so the bow guy is not fishing blind.

The GPS also lets you know your speed over ground if you want to have something that tells your boat speed or if you have a indicator in the water it can tell you the difference between speed over ground and speed in the water so you can tell what the current is.

This came OEM on my '21 Bass Tracker Classic. After having expensive GPS units and downscan, I learned to love this simple unit. And no lie, this graph has been the most accurate graph Id ever had marking actual fish. Do not use the fish icon option, and adjust the sensitivitey a little less. Only gripe is it reads surface clutter all the time under 5ft of water.

That flasher mode is one of the best ways to fish like livescope without having it if your on top of bait

I have the gps version. I tried to mount it on my trolling motor and every time I turned the trolling motor on it went crazy! There was suddenly a screen full of marked fish and clutter. Guess I'll hafta move it...

how does the unit attatch to the base & is the wiring just plugged in to where i can just remove it easily after each trip? im sure its pretty simple but i dont want to leave it on the boat when not using it, just cant trust ppl anymore these days its pretty sad! i went steelhead fishing in Oregon came out the next day & my bearing buddys were gone off both wheels, im like wtf they didnt fall off cuz i checked them with my hand for heat & what not when i stopped for the night! luckily i carry a spare loaded BT8 hub, dust caps, & lug nuts with me just in case i have wheel bearing issues i wont be stuck on the highway some where between Oregon & Nevada!

Horizontal orientation doesn't show you more of the current bottom of the water. It shows you more historic (in the last few minutes or moments) data. In 2023 you think Lowrance would make it an option to have it vertical or horizontal. There are tight place applications for the vertical orientation

I have the same one was pretty good I used it for fishing off the piers.. made a battery box for it mostly fish off of pears I don't have a boat so I'm stuck fishing on Piers

I prefer the horizontal, as I can easily see if I'm heading into dangerous shallows, of which there be many lurking hereabouts *looks around nervously

Anyone know how accurate it actually is as in marking depth of water and marking fish?

My screen stays cluttered up. You can’t see any definition between the surface to the bottom. I tried lowering sensitivity to a really low setting but same crap. How can I clear up the screen?
