I really wish you could buy Lowrey organs here in Australia. They were here in the 70's and 80's but disappeared by the mid 80's never to be seen again.
Thanks Tom for that fabulous demo of the Liberty Plus. Trevor, in one of his intros, described you as one of the best organists in the UK. I would certainly agree with that, Trevor is certainly no slouch either. Sadly my favourite organist ever is Robert Wolfe so, for Allen’s Music Centre having the 2nd and 3rd best organists in the UK can’t be seen as being too shabby. Love your videos. Keep em coming and love to Lucy ❤️
I enjoyed your performance on A crazy little thing called love. Well done. They are lovely organs but they are really so heavy you must leave them in the home unless you have roller caries to help you move it with another man for 2 manpower. That is why I went to a Genos2. I used to carry 2 manual organs to all of my gigs and it was a job to get them upstairs. Thanks for the lovely demo I agree they are gorgeous.
thanks Tom - I enjoyed this so very much !!! I had a Lowrey Citation Theater Organ - I enjoyed it very much in the 80's !!! I am glad they are still in business !!! FANTASTIC !!!
Tom told me in a live video that Lowerys are no longer being made. =( I grew up with my grandpa's MX1 and he had an MX2 but very briefly...they both don't work anymore.
I'm an analog organ player/ collector. Will the Lowrey Stardust someone is basically giving me be pleasing to my ear? I recall playing an Allen organ once that I just couldn't take the lack of depth of the voices. Albeit it was an early 1980's Allen. It was at a church so the room was not a detriment. That experience shied me away from digital. Oh' btw the person that I'm getting the Stardust from is throwing in a massive amount of the white Lowrey binders with ?? I'm assuming instruction? Can someone tell me what that might be?
hi there I am a theatre organist and would like to buy one of these top of the line lowerys how much are they and where can I buy one ... I am in Toronto Canada and would like to purchase a brand new one ..... money is not a problem looking forward to hearing from you
As I remember 50,000 $. But we may not ignore how much expensive furniture is in this instrument. When you buy a Yamaha Arranger piano, it is 3 to 4 times of a comparable keyboard, because the furniture part. Also a Lowrey will be produced in less quantities, so the development afford per instrument is way higher. Usually, digital organs struggle to offer the sounds from the analog times, Lowrey offers everything you could have liked about vintage Lowreys.
