Great video Chris, not overly familiar with Loxone so this taught me a lot. Quick question: you said that the miniserver relays at 5A but the loxone site says they are 10A? I need to control some Grundfos magna pumps and I planned to use the mini server relays. If they are only 5A I will probably need to add in a relay extension
Hey Matt, thanks mate, much appreciated. The relays on the Miniserver Gen 1 (the Miniserver in this video) are 5A … the relays on the Miniserver Gen 2 are 10A. The Gen 2 Miniserver came out after this video was filmed :) … definitely recommend the Gen 2… you can also use a coupling relay if the load is ever higher than the relay capability too 👍🏼
As you have linked all the 230v feeds together on those relays does that mean they all share the same MCB? I'm assuming that for some higher current loads you'd feed one relay from its own MCB? say if one of them was an immersion / heater or something?
Its region depending. Or time specific in some areas. Black and red is uncommon for my area altough not much used, somehow startups or small companies like this schematic..
Not looked at BS/EN guide for years now but it was and I believe still is blue for DC control red for AC control bn ,bk , gy, light blue for 230/400 or all black or all brown also black for DC power, main thing is to put a key on drawings and panels for wire colour identification.... but definitely not red for DC low voltage in the 48years I've been building control panels ,dis boards , machine tools ,bms,
