When I come home to Belfast, I love the An Cultran centre, on the Falls buy my kids the lovley Irish legendary books, Cuhulinn, etc they love them, see an Irish play go and watch Traditional Irish music, watch the Irish dancing Feis, try to improve my Irish with Irish language speakers, My memories of home are St patricks day wearing my green ribbons and going to mass, to ruin it was the memory of the British soilders aiming guns at us when celebrating St Patrick,thats our life the prods missed out

Language, names, poetry, music, dance, gaelic and hurling - one of the oldest sports in the WORLD. When I was a student I worked with a loyalist, we often spoke openly about the divid and our opinions. He was a nice lad, just had no idea about the history. I asked him about the purpose of the orange order halls and was curious what they were for and why they have so many of them in mile distances to one another. His response “why do yous have so many GAA pitches”. If they knew their history and weren’t so insecure about being lost about their identity and who they were we wouldn’t have the issues we have, it’s beyond ridiculous.

I was in Belfast Last week, My grandad is from Belfast and for the first time I could travel up to see the home of my grandad. Its sad whats happening up there still. I love my country, Loyalists, do all of us people in the north and south a favour, and pipe down....starting an awful lot of trouble now again arent ye. The flag is not being raised all year round out of respect for the peoples country ye were planted in. Dont cry over it, its a big step up for PEACE in belfast. Be peaceful. The Catholic Church is dying in the Republic of Ireland due in no small part to the abuses its clergy took part in, but that's religion, not culture. Irish culture is very rich and diverse and includes sport, literature, dance, music, poetry etc. Unionist culture involves marching to celebrate a battle won by a Dutch King in the 17th century, lighting bonfires and singing songs about the aforementioned battle.
