First impression: it can be so loud. Doesn't fit my Sonor 100 hi-hat stands, because the rods are not long enough. After live testing: It's a pleasant sound that finds its place within the sound spectrum. The volume is a bit hard to control; it's going to be loud or soft and I can live with that. I also played fast patterns on the bottom beads with hands and fingers. Bottom line: I am happy with it. It's a game changer for drumming percussionists who wish to use four limbs sometimes. Can't get the traditional Shekere rhythm in a Bata syncopation, but I love the Clave and Shekere sound by a single musician... Very cool.
