Lawrence Petross makes some amazing pedals, including the ever so popular distortion/preamp pedals: Sixty 8 Deluxe, Seventy 4, and Eighty 7 - which are voiced to sound like overdriven Marshalls from the corresponding decades (60s, 70s, 80s).

Hey Lawrence and R.J....one thing I love about the Sixty 8 Deluxe over the Seventy 4 and the Eighty 7 is the 5 levels of dirt and boost...it's really like 5 pedals in one...1-clean boost ..2-dirt (Green OD w/ no boost) ...3-dirt Green OD w/boost...4-dirtier (Red OD w/ no boost)...& 5- dirtier Red OD w/boost... That's 5 amazing tones, man! Add the VRMN on top...Oh Man! LOVE IT! 😎🎸🎹🤘🐦

Best dirt boxes I’ve ever heard. I’ve owned hundreds on pedals and my Eighty7 Deluxe is the most amp like gain pedal I own. That and Royal Overdrive but those are two different sounds. For Marshall distortion/overdrive tones your pedals are unbeatable. Great work! Absolutely killer shit.

Awesome demo RJ...huge fan of LPD Pedals...have the sixty 8 Deluxe and the VRMN...you really must try that one too! Looking forward to the slide course...after I memorize the fretboard...that's my first goal before moving forward...though I did buy a slide...arrived last week!

RJ! Now did my ears deceive me or was the first jam a combination of two CLASSIC recordings of John Mayall's Bluesbreakers.... Steppin Out w/ Clapton and The Stumble with Peter Greene??? Really cool idea and love that you paid homage to those records and that era. Great playing as always

Awsome man! I really like the 74 and 87. Hard to choose which I like better. With that being said, The 68 Is great too! I guess I love them all. 🤷‍♂️

They are all exceptionally good for rock n roll. I picked up an Eighty7 Deluxe when it first came out and it’s incredible. The red gain stage is just killer. The green is a little less gain but has a ton of bite and you can stack them. If you like high gain the, 87 is the one imho. The 74 is also killer but I think the 87 deluxe gives you more options and you can get that high gain or turn switch to the green channel for great rock rhythm tones and the red channel is perfect for lead. My favorite drive pedal.

I have the Sixty8 which I feel is a touch airy (lacking in the mids?) but at the same time that’s what makes it colorful to me

For a lot of guitar players the sixty 8 deluxe is enough to cover all the gain they need and if that is not enough, these three pedals together will certainly be. Strange though, this brand is not well known in Europe. I had to search for it and Google shopping brought me nowhere at all. Lawrence Petross, or whoever is in charge of sales, should go and contact huge European mega stores like Thomann or Bax, 'cos I bet a huge number of Europeans will be watching demos like these and want to give 'em a good try, without having to spend a third of the money for shipping costs, taxes and other sh*t.

I owned the 68...it lacks headroom. Notice the guitar used for demo. I sent it back. I own the 87. Wish I would have sent it back too. Notice the settings on the pedal... very mild; that’s because it’s a very noisy pedal not even my noise gate can tame it. Going to get rid of it .
