LRF Galway bay (bigger fish than expected)

A couple of hours in Galway bay (Clare side)
The plan was to fish piers in Kinvara and around.
After an hour and getting plenty of small pollock (only 10-15cm) I decided to go further out on my favorite rock mark...
I didn't expect to catch anything bigger than a pound or two, braid was a 10-pound Daiwa J4 which seemed to be big too weak for fish I had to pull it up on the rock ledge.
Lesson learned.
Still one of the best sessions in the last while :)
Love the light gear sensitivity and fighting the fish.

For me you have the best lrf rod i have many rods cause i am doing many techincs my most favourite is this one and i have 2 zenaq imagine but for shore jigging my biggest fish with tht rod was a falce albacore aprox 2 kg and because i am get used to lift the heavy fish in shore jigging from the leader as you did i lift the albacore like this and the leader broke from the weight 😅 anyway i have catch 1kg dentex barracudas squids 1-1.5 kilos beast rod my friend lend me his spear fishing rod for lrf for 1 month majocraft n one 250 euros rod i tried it 3 times i didnt like it at all you see blue bird was longer and more sensitive with better shot but i have the 4-14 version its a beast and cheap rod about 100 euros the only problem is that favourite stopped this line :(

wow really they stopped this line? It is legendary in their line up. From shore same :) I prefer this to my aji do, and the 4-16g version is so much fun with up to 60cm bass :)

@TomasJanicek from what I saw yes I dont know if they stopped the "blue bird " in general but my model I can't find it I guess they will release updated models it's big mistake something that works great to stop the production something like hayabusha does with great jigs that works great and many times works when other jigs fail like hayabusha finder for lrf great great jig rarely came in surface without a fish I even got a small octopus 🤣 and hayabusha shot for light jigging that day nothing worked and it was winter in winter fish are in deep waters that's why I took my spinning rod and got hayabusha shot on the water first shot at surface 90%was big tuna got it I was praying to cut my line cause braid was brand new and it was from the expensive ones after a while it cut my line 👌
