Hey guys just a channel update! Thanks for all of your support and stay tuned in the near future! Also for some reason the intro decided to not have sound. Luckily this isn’t a serious video 🤣
Hey, have you ever railfanned along the UP DeQuincy and Lake Charles Subdivisions? We get some good traffic down here, but the thing is...its UP not CPKC, but also good video and announcements update for the channel 😊
Yeah I don’t have much interest in traveling longer distances for UP content unless it’s something special or good scenery like out west. Appreciate the suggestion though.
Look forward to your upcoming videos. Loved your last video of Louisiana Southern. A great resource of Rock Island information is by Robert Karsten. He was a professor at the time at Louisiana Tech I believe. His article "The Winnfield Local" parts 1 and 2 was in Railroad Model Craftsman January '78 and February '78. He apparently did a ride along. He also has a 3rd article about the Rock in May '82 "last days of the rock" in Railfan and Railroad. His last name was ironically "Karsten" but magazine publisher was "Carstens".
Maybe you can do a "What once was" on the Arkansas and Louisiana Missouri aka "The Gator Line" based out of Monroe. Articles about it were in November of '80 and January '81 of Railfan and Railroad by Bob Karsten. He was an excellent artist by the way and did a lot of sketches and paintings of railroads in the area.
Here in SWLA we had a westbound eastbound on UP Lafayette Subdivision & BNSF Lafayette Subdivision. In SELA I just found CN Hammond & McCombs Subdivision. Tower 26 in Houston is where UP West Belts & Houston Subdivision
I enjoy watching your videos of trains going through Louisiana but just do the best that you can when you can take care and thank you for your awesome train videos thank you.🚂🚃🚃🇺🇲
Thank for the update video LRP! Was getting worried there for a little bit. Have you thought about doing a video on the Union Pacific's Lufkin sub? Whenever I'm out on Saturdays there seems to always be something rolling south at least every two hours, sometimes even more.
I considered when I lived closer to it for a few months but never got the chance. I’d really like to check out some of the shortlines along that route though.
Unfortunately it was one of those ideas that got shelved. I had a few days planned out to head down that way last year, but something came up and I wasn’t able to make it happen. Maybe next year though!
