What lifters are you running? i have some btr but they automatically had bad lifter tick on start up noticed 1 didnt have alot of oil coming up to the rocker

These were Morrell ls7 replacements. The noise I was hearing was one of them being eaten up while spinning in the tray.

That's good, how about the 8.1 with the coil packs stuck on the valve covers ?

Coil packs are on the valve covers on the ls as well. They don't need to be physically attached for stuff to run...

I have the exact same noise... is it the bushings in the rockers? Seems to coincide with intake valve on the intake of #1?

It turned out to be the lifter spinning in the lifter tray. The roller of the lifter wore a flat spot and in turn destroyed the cam lobe.
