I want to make my TV cable mount bracket have an adjustable throw. I think I'm going to use a bolt so I can lengthen it and shorten it. Take the pan off and watch the plunger move. Adjust the bolt up or down until it's perfect
Guess I’m going to have to make a LS to 700r4, 350/400 turbo kick down cable bracket for the 5.3 truck and TBSS intake test test and quad triple test then sell on the market
the throw length on that TV cable is insanely important. I would suggest you make sure your measurement match a stock 700r4 set up. I'm talking both the closed throttle and wide open throttle lengths between the bracket and the place where the tv cable attaches to the lever. you have a good chance at smoking your tranny and or not being able to adjust your shift points if you get it wrong. Ask me how I know. There is a reason they make aftermarket brackets for specific carb and engine combinations.
Yessir ..I did the homework on this one but being built not bought there's always that chance ! So far so good , 6000k so far and shifting perfectly, but I am working on a new throttle body bracket as an experiment, if I let the smoke out of the trans il build another !! Cheers mang
Wifey did a nice job on the intake eh? I am sure you already know but the fulcrum and adjustment of the TV cable is crucial to the survival of the trans.I know of brand new 700r's that were toasted on the first test drive because of incorrectly adjusted TV's.
