After about 4 months worth of nights and weekends, I am finally enjoying my '57 Chevy truck after I swapped out the old 350 Chevy for Gen 3 6.0L LS engine and 4L80E trans with lost of upgrades and repairs along the way. Join me to take it for a drive, talk about what's left and overall impressions on this project.

Thanks very much James. As soon as the tires start spinning, they pretty much won't stop until you pull back on the throttle. It's pretty entertaining. Thanks for sticking with me on the build. I am really glad you enjoyed.

Iam happy ,the 57 is all i would drive. I say that cause i have one with a 350ci and TH 400 trany. But is not drivable yet. Thanks for the video great truck.

Thanks, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I spent a lot of time and effort trying to keep under the hood as tidy as it can be.

Thanks very much. The shop didn't come easy, a lot of work to save for it and a ton of work to finish it. I'm very grateful to be fortunate enough to have this space.

It's a real gem, be very very proud, awesome truck, heard you fine in the cab no issue there, like the wheels for the Corsa. Hope you have many weeks, months and years of great cruising with the 57. She's a 10 from the Old Sarge.

Have you done a video on the corvairs? What year is the coupe? 66? I have a 67 Fitch sprint and my father has a 66 corsa conv. Would love to see your collection.

Yes, dozens of Corvair videos on my channel. Feel free to check them out and subscribe. There's always lots of Corvair content. My late Coupe is a '66 Oshawa built Corsa with a 140. I also have a '64 Coupe, '61 Rampside and my son's '65 Sedan.

Love your truck! I have a 1956 Chevy 3100 with small window LS1/4l60E with front corvette IFS and rear 1981 narrowed and has 2004 corvette Guage cluster and steering wheel with smooth dash and hydraulics tilt bed, truck still in primer. I also have same viso as you. When I drive fast (over 85 MPH) my visor causes my wipers to lift and bounce on the windshield. And my hood flexes up and down slightly. Does yours do the same? I have noticed that my wipers will lift at "advanced" highway speeds. Fortunately, if it's raining, with the truck being so light, I'm pretty slow and cautious. Actually thinking about larger rear tires because of how it slides around in the rain. Do you have the X strap brace under the hood? I don't have issues with mine flexing. How are your doors for closing and latching?

nice truck, I am also wrapping up an ls swap in a 1955 truck but came across some brake issues, i was wondering if you have had any issue with your brakes?

No, I have not had any issues with the brakes. They're just stock camaro brakes. best of luck with your project.

Ed, maybe I missed it or just can't remember but how much of a drop did you do in the front and rear and how? I absolutely love the way the the truck sits and want to make my 59 sit the same. Thanks!

Hey, I did that before I had a RU-vid channel. It's a 4 link in the rear from performance online, with aldan coil overs. Camaro from subframe in the front with aldan coil overs. I'm not sure the total drop, but it handles and rides great.

Do you have the original frame still? front clip swap? or did you do a entire frame swap? Just curious and haven't caught it in the videos I've seen

This is the original frame with a 78 Camaro front clip, and I built a 4 link rear suspension for it and coil overs all around. The clip was done before I got the truck and I just had to do some fixing on the installation. The 4 link was before I began sharing in RU-vid. Hope that helps.

It's a Camaro front clip with coil overs and 4 link and coil over in the rear. 15x7 wheels. I think the front is a lot more than 3 inches down from stock. Thanks!

@@SlowCarFix The best ever. I love my 57 gmc 102 with the original 336 pontiac v8. I was here checking out if you put the rubber seal around the headlight bezel. I'm having a problem getting it to stay in place. I see most don't have it at all. Great job on the truck.
