LS Swapping my GF's V8 350 1998 TJ Jeep over a weekend 

Im putting a ls1 in my 2000 jeep TJ and I’ve done so much research lol like all of adapter plates and stuff

The pressure doesn't bleed off threw the dodge fuel filter/Regulator on the top of the tank? The Crysler fuel filter that went to return less was in 94'-95'ish but i swapped the crysler 3.9L out for 5.2L and ran into issues in the filter because the truck was a 1993 ex/cab Dakota standard 4x4 and the 5.2L motor was out of a 1994 Auto Dakota 4x2. The biggest issue was the auto 5.2L motor computer wouldn't let the motor run because I didn't hook up the speed sensor on the 1994 whip that I transferred into the Standard shift truck that had cable drive speedo so no change there but the new computer would go nuts when you went forward but I did get the wires hooked up for the reverse lights and the truck would go balls to the wall in reverse and it hit me the auto is unhooked! Went to the dealer and bought a standard shift computer for a 1993 Dakota 4x4 5.2L standard shift truck at the tune of $600 12-15 years ago and dodge said there was 6 of them left in the US and he could get me on. Got it in about a week surprisingly and plugged it in to the 1994 whip and the truck worked with A/C that I took out of the 4x2 truck that had the 8cyl with the 1993 computer for the standard. Hope ya get a kick out of my swap or it has some useful info for ya about fuel filters and the ECU's. The best part is it looked all factory and was actually cheap as I got the whole truck w/5.2L for $500, junked the truck when scrap was high for like $250 with the leftovers. Just had to buy a new flywheel for the 5.2L for the standard trans of the 1993' truck that had the 3.9L. Nice swap! Turbo would add some cool noises and blow the doors off anything else if ya can keep it strait in 4x4 launch mode! LOL

Man these videos are great. Even though I wanted to see the efi conversion. Im always down to see an ls swap :D. Any options on using a surge tank instead of messing with the fuel tank/pump ?

Just curious as to why you’re pulling out the SBC to LS swap? What’s the benefit you’re looking for? SBC can easily make LS HP. I’m confused unless the SBC is blown up.

if you can't get fuel mileage out of a sbc then you don't know what you are doing.
