IMO game 5 T1 should have banned aatrox and first picked renata over karma. Keria is so much better on her and her r and w are better in team fights than karmas entire kit
Dude I expected a good finals but THIS was just the best finals ever. The storytelling was insane on it's own with Deft and Faker meeting again after such a long time, and DRX basically coming from play-ins, but then also this banger of a best of 5? Didn't expect that at all. So much individual outplays by both teams, such close games. I'm a T1 Fan but man DRX deserved to win. What a miracle run, I would be surprised if we will ever see a finals this hype in a long time.
So true. I missed the first game cause I fell asleep and my friend said T1 smashed the first game and expected a short series, but my god I couldn't have asked for a better finals. So happy for DRX and Deft, but I felt my heart squeeze a bit when I saw Keria after the game 😢

@@amolistic_ truly I was afraid to see either of them lose which because of the story and stakes. Though as a T1 fan I’m still happy for Deft since it might have been his last time on the big stage. Faker said he’s still looking to play more years so I think they can come back and run it back next year
@@vilhelmarnesen3878 not really, this series was so back and forth, beside game no one knew who gonna win during matches. competition was neck and neck, and let alone the drama and story behind this series, struggle, emotion and confidence. This series has everything that you wanted a story to have it.
@@amolistic_ it was exciting, but as LS said several times on stream, the quality of play was lower than even just previous rounds from the same competition. nerves were high and mistakes determined everything, but obviously as a spectator what is more exciting is the "lore" and investment that we have from the narratives

And the best part is he discovered this when doing alot of practice against berserker and winsome in c9. One can only imagine the potential if the C9 didn't kick him out....

I’ve been a long time DRX fan. I loved Keria so much and it breaks my heart to see him cry so much. If he doesn’t win next year I’m going to be furious that T1 team is insane and I want to see them succeed

it honestly felt like T1 was so sure they were going to win that they kind of forgot they actually had to go through the process of winning to get there, they were expecting to just show up for the trophy ceremony.
I was there in San Fran during the finals and it was pure magic. I was the guy holding the “I love the riot balance team” sign and I met so many amazing people. Seriously an amazing series and an amazing time, if you can ever go to an in person league event you need to go.
I’m happy for DRX, they played their hearts out this worlds and they deserve this win. But I’m also heartbroken for T1. I don’t know what happened, they were in such insanely good form all of worlds, they looked unbeatable, then all of a sudden they just crumbled in this series. It’s the kind of series that could break up a team and I really don’t want that to happen.
I think they relied too much on Keria for drafting. They said they moved coaches to Bengi because they wanted Keria to pick for them. However, I think that gave Keria too much stress and pressure, especially in the Finals against Deft. I am no draft master, but anyone can see T1 did not try anything new this Finals. They got their comfort picks from Game 1 banned and after that their picks were not countering anything just champs they played before. Game 5 was downright weird. Look at their faces - it looked like they had no idea what to do. I think T1 still has a draft problem. They need a coach that knows drafts really well. What use a deep champ pool if you don't draft from it.

Now here’s my prediction, I said back then, if they win worlds, everything’s fine and no change will be made. If they lose, they will get LS. Back then, after firing daeny, polt was put as head coach which was intended from the beginning (but T1 fans caused for it not to happen) because now there’s a reason to. Now they lost worlds, guess what, this screams for a reason to put LS on the coaching team like intended as well. Korean T1 fans have been crying like kids about done horrible drafts and what not all year, now there’s no better time to appoint LS as analyst coach and drafter.
This whole worlds was amazing, by far the best, with every single quarter final and semi final being amazing, especially the lower half of the bracket, and this finals to top it all off. DRX made this worlds the best viewing experience of ESports history for me.

It's really hard which series was better between this one and ROX vs. SKT from 2016, but the fact that this is the finals and not the semifinals just might be a difference.
skill wise ROX vs SKT was better. but i think this series is more entertaining as this is the finals and the storylines. + everyone was on the edge even until the last seconds of the series
Talk about a Dark Horse getting hot at the absolute right time, DRX deserved every bit of that dub, but well fought to T1. This should go down as one of, if not the single greatest best-of-5s in world's history.
Ngl homie, Beryl did nothing game 5. Incredible player, but he still missed multiple Flash+Qs on VERY easy targets and important Ults on Flash-less players. DRX deserved to win for sure, but let's be honest, what could Keria do when his solo laners played like wintraders Game 4 & 5?
@@calebcooksey4390 I know, I was laughing out loud when he kept missing. But Beryll is not known for his mechanics, his macro, shotcalling and general team leadership is where he shines. Keria is the best mechanical support by far but Berryl is better macro wise.
id say once again it was a massive draft diff. t1 always always disrecpect their opponents. just like they didnt respect bin's gwen in MSI they didnt respect kingen's aatrox. Also g4 was such a draft grief too.

I started playing league back in high school because one of my friends showed me the faker ryu outplay and worlds of that year was the first esports event I ever watched I was a SKT fan ever since and as much as it sucked losing this finals I was so happy for deft for finally winning one it was such an emotional rollercoaster I know T1 will comeback with a chip on their shoulder all lanes really didn't play up to their level but I'm very happy for drx gg's
Man !!! I thought this never going to happen!! I said there's no Santa Claus. I expected T1 to win 3-0 or 3-1. But, i guess the anime plot armor is just too strong for this series. DRX are just in so much momentum. This is the best Worlds we've ever had. The plot of Worlds 2022 is just to perfect. So many heart breaking moments and happy moments. DRX run was just straight out of a comic book and plot ohhh the plot !! From the bottom to the top and at the top is greatest org. Of the league lead by greatest player of all time. At the game, after all those objective steals by T1, DRX remain calm they always somehow find a way to win. I am so so so happy !!!! For Deft to finally get a championship and i am so so so sad that T1 lose. Truly a bitter sweet ending. Worlds 2022!!! The best championship we've ever had. There's going to be nothing surpassing this.
To answer the question no Beryl cannot play Bard lol, but Kingen and Zeka went beast mode though so it's ok, such a fun watch. Huge props to Pyosik being a jungle player even with his deadly allergy to the smite button. Congrats Deft on finally winning one, he really deserves it. Literally the best underdog story that there ever will be in esports. Seriously, you find your first wins against 2 outrageously good teams on the Worlds stage in a best of 5. Amazing.
LS aka lose yourself is a league of legends streamer notorious for playing copyrighted music at the tail end of the 5th game of the most watched esport event in the world so his poor editor has to cut out large portions of his reactions
This is the best league series in history. But also, it made me realize just how far behind North American LoL actually is. We might see gameplay like this in NA LCS in 3-5 years. It feels like half a decade behind.
Zeka said it himself in the pregame interview, "gods can bleed." and drx meant it. they put on a clinic on how to shut down the unkillable demon king. oner desrves a handwritten apology.
Honestly, even though I was cheering for T1 to win this year I am not mad they lost. The stakes this year where at an all time high and the narrative build up was insane this world's. Faker vs Deft who would win and us much as it pains me to say it the unkillable demon king wasn't able to rise to the occasion and reclaim his spot on the throne. But instead we had the best underdog story league may ever have.
My take on who is the best ADC of all time since Ashley Kang asked for it: If Championship wise I'd go with Bang, Monster-Peak ADC prob. Uzi or Ruler but career longetivity probably Deft.

Faker had the opportunity to first pick azir, guma had the opportunity to first pick cait or yone, they also had the opportunity to ban aatrox. That's just sad :c Bengi literally said he threw the draft. This is horrible. I hope they are back next year.
Not only that, Zeus actually picked Gwen and Keria picked mage again...They played well but their champs suck so bad. So what if Beryl picked Bard? His ult never landed because T1 mechanically juked everything. But Bard was able to escape so many times alongside Hecarim. If T1 had engage champs, they could have won all those engages.
@@inconvenientfacts58 If you go back and watch, Bard ult was getting flashes several times, which helped DRX in fights shortly after: either DRX win the fight, or T1 wouldn't be able to get as much as they want in the teamfight.
feel like 4th game is just a free gift to DRX when looking at that comp. 5th game felt like T1 had so many chances to win ( from fcking up runes to playing lethality varus ). And imo just imagine GP in that last game instead of gwen, suddenly u have good AD as well as AP and do outscale DRX. Although it is insanely hard to play vs cait

Well, there was an interview in this channel called Korizon ESports. Bengi explained their drafts, and why they didn't ban Aatrox game 5. I still thought the reasoning was a bit ergh... But well Basically, he never thought that Aatrox was gonna be picked so early. He thought it was gonna be contested around the 4th or 5th. And he thought that they could play into an Aatrox anyway
Lets keep it real. I love Faker but Faker did not play good this game at all. Zeka outplayed him this whole series, and then T1 wouldn't ban Aatrox even though it has been mowing them down. Game 2 was the game that T1 could've tooken but they threw that game and then they decdied to pick Akali into Azir another game and Faker decision making was terrible this whole entire series.
I will never forgive Faker for losing Guma and Keria this series... Stop calling him the unkillable and all that shit, long time ago that might have been true but stop hyping the glory days. And also who tf decided to let Kingen continue on Aatrox.... Terrible. And for that reason im glad DRX won, they punished T1 shitty draft calls
They literally couldn’t do anything the entire game they just had to wait for enemy to make mistakes. There was also a lot of times where they had no vision of Aatrox and Hec. I think if they TP earlier and had vision of Aatrox to cancel back they could of won. Honestly it was way to close for the massive draft gap
