I’m sure it’s been said before but I’ll say it again Most definitely GM dropped the ball with their recent line up of Blazer’s I’m sure most costumers were expecting something along these lines here This absolute monster of a truck well put together just incredibly well rounded
Beautiful truck all the way through. Love that none of the modern make over took away from the classic styling. The round off road lights are so refreshing to see after a decade of light bars being the norm on everything.

I've always said Id take an old truck that's been well sorted over new any day of the week.. this more than proves my point... Wow just wow... what a machine
But it’s not really an old truck. It came with leaf springs, underpowered engine, and so on for the time. It has all modern parts and components under it and isn’t even close to an old truck or a new car.
@@montynohtyp157 you make good points ish, but u totally missed the point of his comment. I could explain every facet u missed, but that's superfluous because it's not just one thing, it's a combination of ease and driveability all in one.
When I was a kid my mom's boyfriend had a '69 Blazer. The truck was only 7 or 8 years old at the time but it was fully tricked. We lived in SoCal and he took that thing to Santa Clarita, San Gabriel Canyon, even had a set of four paddles for Pismo. And it pulled a VW powered sand rail. I have loved those trucks since but I rarely see them. His was blue also with those white spoke wheels that were a must in the '70s. This thing would really bring me back if it had a whip CB antenna with a little Budweiser flag and an ass, gas, or grass sticker on the glove compartment door.
Didn’t know who had built it so I’m sorry about that. We shot it with Andrew…he bought it then had about $40K-$50K put in to get it sorted but sure is a great K5
Actually Rock Bottom Off-Road built it, no disrespect to your friend a horrible thing to lose a friend and family member. I am sure the one he built was just as Bad Ass 👊🙌
Mathew was the one he built this color? This blazer was built by Rock Bottom offroad for the last owner then reworked by the same shop to handle the supercharger etc and changed a bit. Like slo n 4 lo said I am sure Kevin built a cool rig and I would love to see it!

@@AutotopiaLA Holy Sh!!!T I actually did it!! I put the cash down to hold my 1972 White Blazer while the check clears from the sale of my SRT JEEP! I am actually finally getting my bucket list Blazer!!! I will immediately remove and preserve the motor and LS swap it!
Seeing this video with this Blazer made me appreciate autotopiaLA and the Driver88 so much! It inspired me to finally go out and get my own. I bought a clean 1972 K5 Blazer. It was a complete barn find for the guy I bought it from. Completely stock, I’m still trying to get it to stop, go and handle with confidence. My goal is to have it one day soon to emulate your badass Blazer in its stock yellow skin. I get compliments all the time but I could only imagine the feeling you get driving yours. Thank you for the inspiration and any and all your tips would be greatly appreciated!
I would love to see it offroad, doing what it was built for instead of running the streets. It would be awesome running across the desert or climbing some dunes!

This is probably one of the coolest old school Blazers I've seen. Ever. And it sounds awesome!! But.... If you ever wanted more power this would be an awesome platform for a built Duramax... Just sayin. 😁👍
I’d rather have a twin turbo ls engine with a nice cam. To me that’s what k5 should sound like. To each their own. I’m a duramax fan too, but I’d stick it in a k30 3+3
At 7:33 it lifts that left front tire for just a second you see it pull off the ground before laying back down and pulling. And it doesnt even look like hes completely all up on it.
@@AutotopiaLA I've built a lot of cars shawn and I can tell you when a car or truck can snatch a front wheel like that with as little effort as that it did, she got a.lot more in her. I was impressed to.see it run as strong as it did under such docile pedal. Truly awesome
that is a real blazer unlike the dinky plastic crap thing sold now, would be awesome in the sand dunes here in michigan, love the mandatory oh s**t bar on the dash
LOVE the build! Looks great! One question. It looks like in the video the truck is leaning a bit to one side. Is that just a bad camera angle on the video?
What a fantastic, killer, & tasteful truck! Absolutely love it. Way cooler than all the douchey Jeep Unlimiteds around here that look like they drove through Pep Boys with a magnet on them.
@@AutotopiaLA it just looked like at speed the vehicle was off camber on the passenger side. Could just be my crappy eyes, or just the way that beast of a truck launches.
Hey shawn I freaking love your videos man. My dream one day is to have you want to check my truck out and hopefully I'll get to be on your show with my baby... ....that's my truck, she is my baby. She is a 1977 gmc sierra lifted on 35's with 18 inch weld racing rims and she is all custom. I really love her and so does everyone I come across, usually!!! She is a custom blue, which is my favorite color and soon she will have most of her things shaved and have suicide doors. I would love to maybe talk about being on your show one day if you would have me plz. I live in Oregon.
