Forged rods and pistons don’t add any power, they just allow you to run more boost, which will of course make more power. He said they stuck with factory compression ratio, though. The blower size isn’t really relevant at this stage either because they only increased boost to 15.2 psi from the 14.8, so only 1/2 psi difference. The LSA however is close to being maxed, and the Harrop will keep the charge air much cooler at higher power levels while being able to make more boost more efficiently, all resulting in more power.
where are the videos with these superchargers in action(racing)? I've found one comparison video with the harrop vs a magnuson on some toyota pickup trucks and the harrop got whoop but I want to see more
ASD350SXF In all honesty, on E85 and ramming 18-20pound from that 2950 blower should see over 700kw at the hubs. A close friend just did a 416 with the 2300 in a vf maloo, @13.5psi on 98 it made 542rwkw on a mainline which is still kind of a run in tune.... u can safely add 60 odd kw if this was on a hub also. After 3000km its going back on the runners and shooting for 700rwkw again on the mainline with E85. Epic money and epic power available with the 416 forged blocks.
600 hub kw on 98 is impressive, coming from a modified FG XR6T owner. I'm also impressed that the engine bay is not full of bling. Nothing to see here, officer.
Stock? I don't think so mate! As a previous BarraT6 owner thered b no chance plus by looking in the LS bay it looks pretty clean it'd b the Ford with a canary on it whilst it burns off! I likey-alot
off course not. i use to own a VZ Maloo in NZ and got dusted by a XR6 turbo but that having a turbo only gets you that far and after that your mud and your mine!! True story!
So much money for alright gains, eould've been better off just switching to E85. Lot's of CTS-V's in the states make 600hp+ on the stock blower and E85. I'm amazed a stoker and larger blower only gained 25kw over the previous setup.
You would keep that car for 10 years ?? Why?? I usually like to sell before there ran into the ground then I get a little money for the next one. No point running it till it's worth nothing.
"A PURE HOLDEN SUPERCHARGED ROAR WAS THINKING OF GETTING AN"!!...aarrmm???.."2020, 700+HORSES WIDEBODY SRT DODGE HELLCAT CHARGER"!!..but "DIS HOLDEN MOBSTER JUST FORCED MAH MIND HOMIE"!!..like "EVOLVE FEARSOME, EVOLVE FIERCE, EVOLVE EFFECTIVE, PEACE UP Oi"!!..
I prefer horsepower numbers the way the rest of the world measures a performance cars power not through kilowatts but through HORSEPOWER numbers because if I was to mention to a family member overseas like in America or I got some family members in Europe to about kilowatts they have no idea what's a strong number in kilowatts but they do understand when I talk in HORSEPOWER NUMBERS what's a nice and powerful number under the hood of the car. However nice video guys.
Why would anybody bother! Electric is the way of the future... Buy a Tesla now and it will already shit on every gas-guzzler on the road. Imagine Tesla with another 20 years development! And with new battery technology that enables even quicker recharge from solar powered charging stations, we will have clean air and free power. The whole world needs to rethink human existence, or we will not exist at all in a few years time!
Why would you even be watching a supercharged V8 video, only to clamor about electric vehicles? You completely miss the point. It's about the sound and the experience. I don't care how fast a Tesla is when it doesn't make a supercharger whine or a cam lope. You also can't do a long distance or cross-country trip with a Tesla. Running low on gas? Easy, stop at next fuel station and keep going. You'd have to sit and wait for a Tesla to charge. They have their place, which is daily commuting. Also, don't be fooled into this green energy mumbo jumbo. A football field sized area full of solar panels can only power approximately 10 homes or less. Wind and solar cannot sustain everything, not even close. And don't even get me started on the materials needed to build wind and solar farms (spoiler alert: you still need a battery to store the solar and wind energy). What do batteries need? Lithium. Where does lithium come from? Oh yeah, it has to be mined. Where do all these decrepit solar panels and massive wind turbines end up in 10-20 years when they fall apart? Ah yes, buried in the ground like all trash. Not saving the environment nearly as much as they claim. And that's just the beginning.
Well said ASB A and Tony....well said!! Personally I'll take my car (VE SS making 450rwhp) over any Tesla, now or anywhere in the future. And yes,my car will definitely be getting supercharged, inching to get it done.
