thelsattrainer.com Check out the reviews here: amzn.to/3zqWTf6 This video discusses the basics of LSAT Logical Reasoning Questions. Includes a breakdown of question types, brief discussion of key strategies, and two sample problems.
I’m taking my LSAT for the first time and today is my first time watching your training videos and I am excited already and I’ve only watched about five minutes and it’s the most clear and concise teaching I’ve come across at this point. So I’m so excited about what’s coming. I’ll report my score, in the future
Thank you for helping us aspiring law students. Years after this was posted, it’s still very helpful. Im grateful for your workbook and all of the work you’ve put in to your videos.
Thank you so much for your explanations! I just interviewed for a pre-legal internship and we had a surprise practice LSAT exam and a few of these questions were on there- thank you!
This was the confidence booster I needed. LR has always been a wishy washy subject for me, but I feel I have a new understanding that eliminates over thinking (something I’ve been doing far too often on this section). Thank you so much!
This is the first video in my journey to pass the LSAT. My ability to answer the given questions correctly, using my own logic, before watching the explanations relive my worries. Using these videos and other resources, hopefully I'll get a great score.
Again. These videos are wonderful thank you! I prided my skill at the humanities making me naturally good at this section unlike say games....but how you break down the question types makes me move through the questions much faster.
I scored a 162 on my first diagnostic and thought it was easy, so I took my first LSAT for fun with zero preparation thinking I would kill it and I scored a 149 LOL. The diagnostic doesn't mean much of anything.
@@teshanapryor4786 you’re welcome. That was 5 years ago, and I’m studying now to take the LSAT for a 2nd time. I’m 38. I’ve read a lot of stories that there are a good amount of people that go to LAW school later in life: 30’s, 40’s, even in their 50’s and 60’s. Everyone’s path is different. Just prepare and take it one question at a time.
I used to overthink these types of questions a lot. After taking a basic intro to logic class I began to see it quite differently.. I’d highly recommend that class to anyone still in school looking to take the LSAT
Purchased the LSAT Trainer a week ago and really enjoying it so far! Love these videos too! I'm so nervous for the exam, but your book is slowly calming my nerves.
Great teaching. Listened to a 56 min lecture explaining the different types of arguments but they never got around to answering the question. Spent 2 days on that website and these were actually the first LSAT questions and answers completed. Thanks
Your videos are the cleanest and easiest to understand! I have found your videos extremely helpful and I will continue preparing for the LSAT from your videos.
I’m studying for the MCAT & I am struggling a bit with scientific reasoning & just following arguments in some of the passages & I decided to look for a logic reasoning video & stumbled upon yours & THIS VIDEO WAS SUPER HELPFUL!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH
Mike Kim, please make more detail videos because you are awesome and better than that power score training course that I prior have taken a few years back. The powerscore training course for me was a waist of money and time. Ijs!
Hi i bought your book but, as a beginner was lost. I just stumbled on this video and the lights turned on for me. Thank you. I will go through the other videos. I want to take my test next year.
I have the LAST this coming Saturday, and I've just found out it's better to watch the videos here than to study using other resources or paid services.. #FML
@@lukagautam205 Luka and everyone else, I did relatively well. I went from averaging 150 to averaging 170. But it takes time, dedication, and finding what studying method best works for you and implementing it. Utilize what you learn each day in real life as well.
I recently came across for your videos for LSAT, I have to take my LSAT in April 2020 for George Mason Law degree. Your video it explains every single step of the LSAT book, it makes it way easier for me to understand and where to concentrate on more. Thank you for doing this for the LSAT students.
This is such a great video and low key crying that i got #2 right based on my own work before you went over it. Because the logic reasoning was hard to grasp until you broke it down.
Your videos are awesome! I am currently taking an LSAT Prep course but your videos are much easier to follow along with! Test Day is Sept. 27th. (fingers crossed)
Mike, you are the absolute 💯 best! Thank you for your book 📖 and these easy to understand videos. Because of you, the lsat trainer, self studying 📖 I scored 10 points higher than my last test 😁
Hey mike! I am preparing my LSAT for December's exam. and your books and website are the most efficiency tool I've used so far !!! This video is so great!! Please reveal your video about RC as soon as possible!!!
+Jinglei Cui Wow, thank you so much for your comments and I'm so happy to hear that you are finding my materials helpful -- I will get the RC video out as soon as I can -- best of luck getting ready for December.
That was really good, Im a senior in HS, and got both questions right. I'm seriously debating Law School, and this just seems to come natural to me. I think I might even check this book out to begin with! Thank you!
I just ordered the LSAT Trainer. I will take the LSAT in June and really need a high score. I have been watching your videos and it is helping! I have thought about a tutor but can't fit it in my budget. More videos would be helpful!!!
+Pamela Metallo Hi Pamela -- thanks for trusting in the book and hope you find it useful -- more videos are coming up, but you may also want to check out my new LSAT community site Lsatters.com -- I'm on the forum all the time, so if you need me you can always find me there -- MK
I have the lsat trainer which is really good, just finished it and I am currently enrolled in a kaplan course on sundays. They have A BUNCH of practice tests online through their course so ill be starting to work on sharpening my skills for my test this week. But i recommend using the lsat trainer as well as the study schedule from the website, if you're someone who likes to make schedules of course.
I am taking the LSAT in June...you have won me over with Ch.1. I am nervous to pieces. I am a non traditional student and ...well...I took this test 30 years ago and failed miserably after taking a Kaplan course....I am counting on you to guide me in a better way. I am training my elephant.
You can do it, Janice! Thank you so much for trusting in the Trainer, and please don't hesitate to get in touch if you need any extra help at any step of the way (mike@thelsattrainer.com) -- MK
I plan on taking the LSAT in November. The way you teach it is so easy to understand. My goal score 162! I know with your book, RU-vid videos and my other study material I can definitely achieve that goal! thank you! You are skilled at teaching!
I have been using The LSAT Trainer book to study and was FLOORED when I found the youtube channel. If you haven't already, I recommend buying the book if you are an independent studier. My base score without studying was a 153. I have tried the Kaplan online courses and did not really like the teaching style there, especially for the high price. I will update this post in November 2021 when I take the LSAT again. For reference, I am studying for about two to three hours a day using the book four days a week. My studying will probably get more intense as the test gets closer. So, in two months hopefully I will have a higher score!
@@chariotwheel Hello! I ended up with a 160, which was a great improvement for me. If I spent more time studying, I know I could have gotten higher. I recommend the book still, and recommend taking practice tests once a week!
I am an engineer and I over think the answers and use a different problem structuring model. Its difficult to think like lawyers. I literally have to turn off parts of my brain. Your channel helps me prepare for talking logic/reasoning to legal people. Its not the same as discrete math and solving problems.
Hi Cl B -- for some reason I do not have the option to reply to your messages -- sorry about that and hope you didn't think I was ignoring you! The book was originally written in 2013 but recently updated -- as long as you buy new from Amazon, you are always assured the most recent version of the book, so no need to wait. Wish you the best, and get in touch if you need me.
God bless you, Mike Kim. I'm reading your book and I jumped 12 points after only reading 1/5 of it. The videos help as I have ADHD and reading is difficult for me
The LSAT Trainer is it me or did you only list six and not seven types: Flaw Req assumption Suff assump Str\weaken Supporting principle Match the flaw What is the last one?
Meaghan Gentry In Jesus name Amen. Many blessing to you for delivering that script that is helping so many. The blessing you want is done in your life. Amen
Great lesson as always, but the questions were too easy or I'm getting stronger at these types of questions. Nonetheless, I'm grateful for your videos.
Hi Mike, I'm not sure how to solve my problem but here's my issue. As a small business owner I have prided myself on being the guy in every group who thinks outside the box and finds solutions that no one else may have thought of; I tend to think about problems in very unorthodox ways. Having based my identity around thinking like this, I have real issues when it comes to thinking inside the box, specifically with a test like the LSAT, a test that only rewards thinking inside the box. How can I go about learning to think more inside the box?
Yes, I know there are some practice available on your website. I am hoping that you would have a full digital version that could be used through subscription fees.
